Around 1000 Houses were destroyed and 14 People got Injured due to the Stormy Winds strucked at Puttalam District in the North Western Sri Lanka this Afternoon.Out of the Destroyed Houses 500 Houses were destroyed completely and people got injured due to the trees fell into the Ground according to the Provincial Sources.The Injured got admitted to the Puttalam Base Hospital. Strong Winds and Heavy Showers prevailed in the District for few hours sources further added. These Days Strong Winds and Heavy Showers are experienced in most parts of the Sri Lanka.
Meanwhile the Sri Lankan Meterology Department said today that the Prevailing Windy Conditions will slow down in next couple of days time.
