A Female Motorcyclist Was Killed Due To Motorcycle -Lorry Collision

A 53 Year old female Motorcyclist had
been killed after the Motorcycle she was riding colliding with a Lorry at Weligampitiya area on Negambo -Colombo main road yesterday (22).

The deceased Female Motorcyclist had fallen to the ground after her Motorcycle had collided with the Lorry which attempted to overtake her and another Motorcycle it has been revealed .

Her head was severily damaged   due to the  incident and  it caused her death.

Police have arrested the Lorry driver over the incident. 

President Sirisena Wants To Abolish Both 18th And 19th Amendments

Both 18th and 19 th amendments  to the  Constitution should be abolished in view of building 
a  better country  and to ensure stability in the country President Maithripala Sirisena has stated today (*23).

Addressing a function held at BMICH (Bandaranaike International Conference Hall0 today President Sirisena has stressed that during last four and half years  Good Governance government had been spoiled due to the 19th Amendment ."people in the country blamed that Prime Minister and I have taken two different paths and the cause of that situation is the 19th Amendment .we have formed the good governance government in 2015 to abolish 18th Amendment of the constitution which led to a Dictatorship  ,However through the 19th Amendment country has lost a single leader concept .country will be benefited if we can abolish both 18th and 19th Amendments" president has stressed .

However President Sirisena has came to power in 2015 by stating the need to abolish 18th Amendment  and to bring 19th  Amendment to the constitution.



A Father And Two Daughters Have Drowned --Mother Was Hospitalized Whilst Bathing In Kirinda Sea Area


A Father and her two daughters have drowned and the Mother had been hospitalized after thy had been drifted away by sea waves whilst bathing in kirinda sea area at Yala today (23) .


The incident occurred whilst the Father ,Mother and their two daughters were bathing behind  the aea area of a Yala Tourist Hotel where they were stayed at it has been revealed .

drowning සඳහා පින්තුර ප්‍රතිඵලAll four of them had been drifted away by sea waves and residents of the area had managed to rescue them,however three of them had pronounced as dead whilst transferring them to the Debarawewa Base Hospital in Tissamaharamya ..The mother of the deceased daughters had been admitted to Debarawewa Base Hospital for treatment .

Tissamaharama and Kirinda Police stations  are being  conducted investigations on the incident .

Veteran Sri Lankan Songstress Indrani Senaratne Has Passed Away

Veteran Sri Lankan songstress Indrani Senaratne (Wije Bandara has passed away this evening (23)whilst receiving treatment at Colombo National Hospital .
She was 82 years old at the time of her death .Born on 15th of July 1936 Late Indrani Senaratne had make her debut in singing from Sri Lanka Broadcasting Corporation then Radio Ceylon.

She sang many hit songs including 'SUdu Sanda Eliye",'Wesak Kakulu" ,AdaraI Man ","Handapane Mal piPuna ","Me wage Handa Payu","Rathu pata mal","Gaya GeethaYan game ", and "Budu Samine .

She sang most of her duet songs with her late husband Veteran Singer and Musical Director Sisira Senaratne .The Late Songstress who became first local Female singer who sang for child characters as well as female heroines in Sinhala Films due to her unique voice had contributed for many films through her songs including "Rekhawa","Handapane "and "SUdu Sande Kalu wala ".
