Authorities Had Approved The Importation Of Approved Insecticides /Pesticides

The Ministry Of Agriculture had given an approval for Companies to import Approved Insecticides and Pesticides that are being used for cultivation according to the Ministry Secretary Professor Udith Jayasinghe .

However the authorities are planning to use these imported insecticides and Pesticides for cultivation in limited proportions he has stated .

Meanwhile Sri Lanka had begun importing of Nano Nitrogen Liquid fertilizer from India to be used in cultivation and the first stock of this fertilizer had arrived in the country today.

548 Corona Positives Had Been Reported Today (19)

 Another 548 Corona Positives had been reported in the country today (19) ,Increasing the total number of Corona Positives reported so far to 532,766 according to Epidemiology Unit .

Accordingly 25,927 Corona Positives  are being treated at hospitals /quarantine centers and under home care system the Unit has stated .

A total of  5866 "PCR" tests and 3772 "Rapid Antigen " Tests had been performed in the country yesterday (18).

18 Corona Deaths Had Been Reported Today (19)

 A Total of 18 Corona deaths had been reported in the country today (19) ,Increasing the total number of Corona deaths reported so far to 13,525 according to Director General Of Health Services (DGHS).

Accordingly 09 Males and 09 females had died due to Corona infection today the DGHS has stated .Out of the deceased 11 were over 60 years of age and 06 were belonged to 30-60 year age group .One of the deceased was under 30 years it has been revealed ,
