Vaccinating Parliament MP"s had begun Yesterday (16)-19 MPs Vaccinated -06 Refused The Vaccine Whilst Second Dose Is Questionable

Although Health Authorities in the Country had decided to Vaccinate the Health staff of Government hospitals and security personal who are front runners of the fight against Corona in the country with Oxford -AstraZeneca "Covishield *vaccine under the first phase ,In middle of the Vaccination process Gocernment has decided to Vaccinate All 225 parliament MP"s ,Parliament staff and those who are interact with the public and retired health staff in Western province with the vaccine from yesterday (16).

Under the Instructions of President Gotabaya Rajapskshe Vaccinating All Parliament MP's had began at Army Hospital in Colombo yesterday and 19 MP"s had been vaccinated yesterday itself according to reports .

However 06 MP"s including 05 opposition MP"s of Samagi Janabalawegaya and Government MP Rohanda Dossansyake had refused to take the vaccine dose saying most vulnerable groups in the country including senior citizens should be vaccinated first before them.The Opposition MP"s who had refused to take vaccine dose are Harin Fernando ,Manisha Nanayakkara ,Mujibur Rehman ,Rohini Kaviratne and Hesha vithanage .

Meanwhile Opposition leader Sajith Premadasa has requested the government to vaccinate all 22 million people in the country with Covishield vaccine free of charge with immediate effect and reveal the Vaccination process of the government .

The president of Government MLT Union Ravi Kumudesh had criticised the government 's process of vaccinating Parliament MP"s ahead of Senior citizens of the country and said little less than 40,000 Covishield doses left to vaccinate the 190,000 health and security personal with the second dose .

1018 Corona Positives Had Been.Recoveref And Discharged From Hospitals Yesterday (16)

Another 1018 Corona positives had been discharged from Hospitals yesterday (16)after full recovery according to Epidemeology Unit .

Accordingly 70,429 Corona positives had been recovered and discharged so far in the country the Unit has stated .

Six Corona Deaths Reported Yesterday (16)

Another 06 Corona deaths had been reported in the country yesterday (16),increasing the total number of Corona deaths to 409 according to National Covid -19 Prevention Center .

Accordingly 06 Males resided at Panadura ,Vilaoya ,Piliyandala ,Kochchikade Ambalangoda and Nainamadama had died due to Covid Pneumonia and Complications occurred due to the Non communicable diseases they have suffered from the center has stated.

The deceased were of the ages 74,40,48,77,65 and 62 years it has been revealed.

756 Corona Positives Had Been Reported Reported Today (16)

A total of 756 Corona Positives had been. Reported in the country today (16),increasing the total number of Corona positives reported so far to 77,184 according to National Covid -19 Prevention Center .

Accordingly these positives were contacts of Previous Corona positives reported from.Paliyagoda and Prisons Corona Clusters the Center has stated as usual

At the moment 6346 Corona Positives are being treated at Government hospitals and treatment centers it has been reported .Around 664 suspected As corona positives are aldo being treated at hospitals at the moment .
