Met Department Issued Warnings To Public Over Rising Temperatures
The Meteorology Department had issued warning massages to the public in four Provinces and four Districts to be vigilant on the high temperatures prevailing in at present .
Accordingly waning messages had been issued to the Public in Western,Southern ,Eastern and North Central Provinces as well as in Kurunagala,Kilinochchi,Vavuniya and Mulathiwu districts over the prevailing hot weather conditions .
Due to the rising temperatures in above areas dehydration may be occurred and public are being advised to drink lots of water to prevent such situations according to the Meteorology Department .
A Six Month Old Infant Was Killed Due To Three Wheeler -Bus Collison
A six month old infant had died and three others had been seriously injured and hospitalized after the three wheeler they were traveling in collided with a Bus traveling from Mahawa to Kurunagala on last Wednesday (12) evening.at Atawarala area in Maho .
The Three wheeler was traveling from Mahawa to Daladagama area at the time of the incident .The injured including the mother of the infant had been admitted to Kurunagala Teaching Hospital in critical condition .
A Chief Incumbant Of A Temple Was Injured Due To Motor Car-Train Collsion
A Chief incumbent of a Temple and his driver had been seriously injured and hospitalized after the Motor car they were traveling in collided with a train traveling from Matara to Vavuniya at the Dodanduwa Railway crossing in Hikkaduwa area (Southern Province) yesterday (13).
The injured Chief Incumbent was on his way to attend an alms giving of a house at the time of the incident ,The signal board of the Railway line is not working properly and it cause many such incidents residents of the area have stated ,

Anti Terrorism Act To Be Presented To The Parliament On 25 Th Of April
The controversial Anti Terrorism Act is scheduled to be presented to the Parliament on 25 th of April according to the Minister of Justice Wijedasa Rajapakshe.
The Act was earlier scheduled to be
presented to the Parliament on 04 th of April ,However the Government had postponed it due to the demands made by several factions .However it will be presented to the Parliament on 25 th of April as planned Minister Rajapakshe has stated.
Bodies Of Two Students, Drowned Whilst Bathing Recovered
The bodies of the two students who were drowned and dissapeared whilst bathing in Walawe River at Balangoda area last Monday had recovered by a group of youth along with police officers attached to the Balangoda police today (13).
Accordingly the bodies of the 15 and 17 year old students resided in Balangoda area who were drowned whilst bathing near the water purification plant i Balangpda had been recovered .
University Teachers Called Off Their Strike Temporarily
University lecturers had decided to call off the island wide strike action they are currently imvolving in over the new tax system introduced by the government temporarily and resume their academic activities in universities from next monday (17).
The decision to call off the strike temporarily has been taken after a meeting held among members of the Federation of University Teachers Association(FUTA) it has been announced.
University lecturers had launched an island wide strike from 09th of March opposing the new tax system introduced by the government.Although calling off the ongoing strike action FUTA is still refrain from attending marking of G.C.E Advanced level examination papers it has been reported.
