Around 12 people died daily due to suicides in Sri Lanka and another 120 people are suffering Physical and Mental disabilities due to a failed Suicide attempts the Sumithrayo Group who are pioneers in Counseling Services of the Island said today.According to the Chairman of the Colombo Branch of the Sumithrayo Group Mr.Jomo Udman a Person once attempted Suicide will vulnerable to attempt it again 100 times more than a normal person .Also studies show clearly that even More Females are considering Suicides it is Males who are died mostly due to Suicides.
These facts were revealed during a Media Conference held at Colombo Branch today regarding the International Suicide Prevention Day falls on 10th of September.
