Transport Activities Had Been Disrupted in Sripadha Nallathanniya Road Due To A Soil Mound Collapse
Transport activities of Sripadha Nallathanniya road at Maskeliya had been disrupted for two hours from 12 noon to 2 p.m today (12)due to a collapsing of a soil mound in to the road .
However the Road Development Authority officers who are being engaged in renovation work in the road had removed the soil mound from the road and restricted transport activities to one lane .The soil mound collapsed due to the heavy showers prevailing in the area .
Nallathanniya Police have requested the motorists to be vigilant when travelling in the area .

Residents Narrowly Escaped After Collapsing Of A Soil Mound Over Their House
A House at Bibulawela ,Kamburupitiya area in Matara District had severely damaged after collapsing of a soil mound over their house yesterday (11).
The four members of the family resides in the houses had narrowly escaped unhurt due to the incident it has been revealed .,As theirs a landslide risk in the area following heavy showers prevailed in ,Authorities have removed the residents of the house from the area .

Two Females Injured Due To A Soil Mound Collapse
Two females had been injured and hospitalized after a soil mound along with a huge rock had fallen over to two houses located in "Mayfield "Estate at Kotgala in Dimbula Police Division this noon (12) .
The injured had been admitted to Dikoya Base Hospital .The incident occurred when the two females were in the kitchen of their houses .Two kitchens had severely damaged due to the incident according to Dimbula Police .

Two line houses at the " Ottery "Estate in Hatton-Dikoya area had been damaged after a soil mound collapsed over the line houses of the estate this morning (12) amidst heavy showers prevailed in the area .All the household items had been destroyed due to t he incident .
No casualties had been reported and two families lived in the damaged houses have been displaced and moved to their relatives houses as a result it has been reported.

Three Persons Arrested With More Than 30 Kilo Grammes Of Kerala Cannabis
Sri kanka Nvay Personal along with Police Anti Narcotic Bureau officials have arrested three persons with more than 30 Kilo Grammes of Kerala Cannabis in their possession at Kankasanthurai area today (12).
The estimated value of the stock of Kerala Cannabis taken in to custody in possession of the suspects is around Rs. 25 million it has been revealed.

Sluice Gates Of Three Reservoirs Had Opened Due To Reaching Spill Level
Accordingly Two Sluice gates of Lslshspana, Three sluice gates of Upper Kotmale and one sluice gates of Canyon reservoirs had opened due to the spilling water levels of these reservoirs .
Water level of Wimalasirendra Reservoir too reaching spill level and the water level of Kelaniya River is on the rise as a result of opening sluice gates of reservoirs in Central hills The Center has stated.

Police Narcotic Bureau Officials have today (12) arrested United National Party(UNP) MP attached to Karuwalagaswewa Pradesheeya Sabha whilst transporting 700 Mili Grammes of Heroin Narcotic in a Three Wheeler at Thonigala Bound in Anamaduwa-Puttalam road during a search operation .
Later the suspected Pradesheeya Sabha MP was remanded until 22nd of August after being produced before the Anamaduwa Magistrate and District Judge Dulangika Jayasinghe .The suspected MP is Deimantha Wimukthi Ekanayake it has been revealed .
