Five Areas In Kalutara And Kandy Districts Had Been Isolated Due To Surge In Corona Cases

 Five Areas in Bandaragama at Kalutata and Kandy Districts had been isolated with immediate effect from yesterday (25)National Covid -19 Prevention Center has stated .

Accordingly Eastern Atalugama ,Epiranulla and Kolamadirirya Rural Development officer divisions in Bandaragama at ,Kalutara District and Bulugahathanna and Thelambugahahena Rural Development officer areas in Akurana ,Kandy District had been isolated since yesterday due to the surge in Corona cases .

Meanwhile isolation imposed in Kirimanthudawa Rural Development officer area in Bandaragama ,Kslutara has-been lifted yesterday .

Former CID Director Shani Abeysekare Tested Positive For Corona Virus

 The imprisoned Former Director  of Criminal Investigations Department (CID) Shàni Abeysekare had been tested positive for Corona virus whilst in Prison Hospital in Mahara it has been revealed .

He along with 11 other prison inmates had been tested positive for Corona virus on last Tuesday . Afterwards former CID Director had been transferred to Welikada Prisons hospital  and later to the Welikanda Corona treatment center for treatment .

Former CID Director Shani Abeysekare was remanded over cheating evidence of a  court  hcase

MP Rishsad Baduideen Had Been Released On bail

 Imprisoned Parliament MP Rishad Baduideen had been released on bail by the Colombo Fort Magistrate today (25).

L9MP.Baduideen who had been remanded  violating election rules by misusing public funds was released on a cash bail of Rs.100,000 and two surety bails of RS.ome million each .

MP Baduideen was asked to appear before the Criminal Investigations Department (CID)whenever the authorities 76 r

equested .Magistrate has also imposed a foreign travel ban on him . for

All Schools In Kandy Close Down As The Corona Cases Surge

 All schools in the Kandy Municipal Council limits numbering 45 had been closed down today (25) until 04th of December due to the surge of the corona cases in the area the Central provincial Authorities have stated

.

Accordingly  the decision to close down all the schools in the Municipal Council limits  had been taken due to the surge of Corona cases at Mahayyawa and Akurana areas  it has been revealed .

502 Corona Positives Had Been Reported Todaaty

 A total of 502 Corona positives had been reported in the country today qqqq the to (25)increasing tal number of Corona positives 80 so far in the country to 21,469 according to the National Covid -19 Prevention Center.

All these positives were close contacts of the Paliyagoda cluster the center has stated.The number of Corona positives reported from the Minuwangoda Brandix and Paliyagoda Corona clusters had been exceeded  to 17,938.

At the moment 5926 Corona ,positivetl s are being treated in government hospitals and treatment centers ..e sfz 

Two.More Corona Deaths Reported Today (25)

 Two more Corona Deaths Reported today (25) increasing the total number of Corona Deaths to 96 according to Ministry Of Health

.

Accordingly a 45 year old female resided in Colombo -12 has died due to the high blood pressure causted by Corona infection whilst receiving treatment in Colombo National Hospital and a 80 year old male has died after transferring to  Pimbura Base Hospital from Jayawardanapura Teaching Hospital for treatment  due to the liver infection caused as a result of Corona infection .

Out of the total number of Corona deaths reported so far 13 deaths were reported during the first corona epidemic wave and 83;were reported from the second wave of the epidemic .
