A total of 02 Corona deaths reported yesterday (23)raising the total number of Corona positives reported in the country to 280 according to Ministry of Health .
Accordingly a 69 year old male resident of Mount Lavinia has died due to the Covid pneumonia and Kidney infection caused by Corona infection and a 82 year old female resident of Ranala area has died due to the Kidney infection caused by Corona infection .
Both deaths occurred at Homagama Base Hospital .
A Rural Devolopment Officer (Grama Seva Niladari )Division at Devanam piyathissapura in Anuradhapura District had been isolated since last noon (23) due to the surge of Corona cases health authorities had announced.
Ten Corona positives had been identified in the Division during the "PCR 'tests carried out on them and all these positives are employees attached to Anuradhapura Municipal Council and their relatives authorities have revealed .
