Farmers In Two Economic Centers In Anuradhapura To Sell Their Vegetables By Going Homes Due To The Curfew

Minister S.M Chandrasena has yesterday   (24)instructed the Senior Superintendent of Police in Anuradhapura  to allow traders at Dambulla and Thambuttegama 
Economic Centers to sell their vegetables by going home to home as people didn't come to the Centers to buy them due to the nation wide  curfew imposed at present . 

Accordingly traders at the two economic Centers  can pack the vegetables received by them from farmers in to small parcels and sell them from today. 

As there were no customer  to buy vegetables in economic Centers traders and Farmers had faced enormous difficulties it has been reported .

Colombo ,Gampaha And Kalutara Districts Identified As Risk Zones Of Spreading Corona Virus -Indefinite Curfew Imposed in These Districts As A Result -Retailers To Supply Essential Goods To Doorstep Of Residents From Tomorrow (25)

Government has today (24)has been
identified Colombo ,Gampaha and Kalutara Districts as high risk zones of spreading the corona virus according to the reported corona Virus positive cases and the way of people gathered around super markets in these Districts soon after lifting the curfew this morning Presidential Media Division has announced .

Therefore government has decided to continue the curfew imposed in these Districts at present until further notice.

Earlier Government has decided to lift the curfew  imposed in these Districts on 6 a.m this Friday and re - impose it in the same evening .

Due to this situation president Gotabaya Rajapakshe has introduced delivering essential goods to the doorsteps of the public in Colombo, Gampaha and Kalutara in view of providing the essentials without any disturbance. This home delivery service of essential goods to the public will be implemented from tomorrow (25)and retail trade institutions including Sathosa, Arpico ,Laughs, Keels ,Cargill food city and AraLiya and nipuna rice retailers will be delivering the essential goods for public in Colombo ,Gampaha and Kalutara Districts it has been announced .

Police will give permission for these retailers to use vehicles including lorries ,vans, three wheelers and Motor cycles to supply essential goods for the public during curfew hours according to the Presidential media Division. 

Fifth Corona Virus Positive Has Been Reported From The Country

Fifth Corona Virus positive  has been
reported from Sri Lanka few hours ago increasing the total number of Corona virus positives reported from Sri Lanka to 102  according To Epidemeology Unit.

Yesterday  (23)10 Corona virus positives had been reported from the country.

Ministry Of Health Decided To Open Pharmacies During Curfew Hours

Ministry of Health has advised the
Inspector  General Of Police(IGP) to give  permission to open all government and private Pharmacies islandwide during curfew hours for the benefit of patients.

As Kilo meters long queues had been seen in front of pharmacies both yesterday  (23)and today (24)after lifting the curfew ,Health Ministry has today decided to open these pharmacies during curfew hours as well .

Patients can use diagnose card and drug prescription card issued by a doctor as a curfew pass when having  access to pharmacies  the Ministry has stated .

Health Ministry has advised the IGP to give permission to drug transport vehicles and pharmacy workers to move freely during curfew hours. 

Corona Virus Positives Identified In Sri Lanka Passed 100

Four new Corona virus positives had
been confirmed within today (24)up to 6.50 p.m increasing the total number of Corona Virus positives in the country to 101 .

Out of this number 100 are Sri Lankan patients and 01 was a Chinese patient. All Sri lankan Corona virus postives had been identified during last 14 days since 10 th of march it has been revealed .

Around 229 corona virus suspected cases are being treated at 19 government Hospitals up to now according to the Epidemeology Unit .

Out of these suspected cases majoroty around 97 (95-locals and 02 foreigners )are being treated at Infectious Diseases Hospital in Angoda the unit has stated .There are 224 Sri Lankans and 05 foreigners currently being admitted to hospitals as corona virus suspects.

To prevent spreading corona virus among communities doctors  have requested public to stay at home ,adapted social distance practices and wash hands so  often .
