A Submarine And Large Quantity Of Bombs Recovered From Northern Sri Lanka

Sri Lankan Troops found a hidden Submarine belongs to the LTTE and 332 Roadside Bombs from Northern Sri Lanka yesterday which believes to be the largest number of Ammunition ever recovered from there since the defeating of Rebels in 18th of May.

Submarine and the Roadside Bombs were recovered from the Vella mullivaikal Area of the Mulativue District where the LTTE Leader Velupillai Prabhakaran put up his last stand in May.The Bombs weighing up to 18 killos.

Troops also found large quantities of Ammunition for Assault Rifles and Motar Bombs.

Two Cuban Epidemiologists Delay Their Arrival To Sri Lanka

The two Cuban Epidemiologists due to arrive Island yesterday in were not able to come as they didn't get a transit Flight to Colombo from Paris.Now they are schedule to arrive Sri Lanka on Tuesday Ministry Of Health Said. Health Ministry Officials and the Officers of Cuban Embassy in Colombo were present there yesterday at the Colombo International Air Port to greet Cuban Specialists.

The Two Cuban Epidemiologists Dr.Arminas Martinez and Dr.Yellina will be here to find the ways of using Cuban Made BTI Bacteria to destroy Dengue Mosquito Larvae and speeding the process of importing the Bacteria to Sri Lanka.

Chaminda Vaas To Retire From Test Cricket

Sri Lankan Experienced Pace Bowler Chaminda Vaas today announced his retirement from Test Cricket.He is recalled for the Third and Final Test Match against Pakistan commences tomorrow at the SSC Grounds in Colombo and after this match vaas is due to retire from Test Cricket.

As a Left Arm Pace Bowler he made his Test Debut in 1994 and taken 354 Test Wickets on his 15 year old career.Although Vaas is retiring from the Test Cricket he decided to Continue Playing One Day Internationals for Sri Lanka till the next World Cup.
