The Medical Students Action Committee had launched this Protest march against Private Universities offering Medical degrees The road from Horton Place in Borella to Nelum Pokuna was blocked due to this protest march launched by the Medical students .
The Medical student protesters representing all the Medical faculties in the country that were participated the march had accused the Government of trying to destroy free education and health care of the country by conspiring with private Medical institutions like Lyceum Campus ,NSBM Green campus and Gateway Graduate school in view of selling Medical degrees .
