Probing Easter Sunday attacks will not be abolished under any circumstance and it will be functioned as usual according to a member of the Committee MP Professor Anshu Marasinghe .
The right of the general public to know what really lead to Easter Sunday attacks on 21st of April will be ensured and Even countries like USA And Britain also telecast the proceedings of Probing committees live he has stressed.
However President Maithripala Sirisena has strongly criticized the testifying of Intelligence officials by the select committee Infront of Media by saying it will be a threat to National security in the country .

The traditional Carpentry sheds will not be affected through this decision at all the State Minister has stressed.
However due to the announcement made by President Maithripala Sirisena on Enviornment day that the Carpentry sheds will be shut down and importing of timber cutting machines will be suspended to protect the enviornment ,carpennters across the country including ones in Motatuwa had protested against it .
Three Persons Arrested Over Attempting To Take Rs.30 Million Ransom.From.A Buddhist Monk
Dambulla Police have arrested three
Persons who had made death threats to Chief incumbent of the Dambulla Raja Maha Viharaya (Temple)Venerable Ambagaswewa Rahula Thero and attempting to take a Rs.30 million ransom from him forcibly at Dambulla area .
The three suspects who are of the ages 15,34 and 25 years had contacted the Chief Incumbent Thero on 20th of May and requested the ransom it has been revealed.
Accordamce to the complaint made by the Thero ,Dambulla police have arrested the three suspects along with 03 mobile phones in their possession .Dambulla police are conducting an investigations over the incident.

(09)arrested a 25 year old leading drug smuggler at Rotawala in Ambalanthota area with 11 Grammes of narcotics in his possession
The suspect who is a resident of Rotawala area had been arrested accordance to an information received by Police Intelligence Unit it has been revealed .
The estimated value of the haul of narcotics taken in to custody in possession of the suspect is around Rs.1.2 million .

A Suitable Person To Be Appointed As The Head Of State Intelligence Unit -Defense Secretary
A suitable person will be appointed
soon for the post of head of State Intelligence Unit vacated following the resignation of former Head of the unit Deputy Inspector General Of Police (DIG) Sisira Mendis according to Defense Secretary General Shantha Kottegoda.
A suitable name for the above post will be selected and send it quickly to the president Maithripala Sirisena for the approval he has stressed.
DIG SisIra Mendis had resigned from the post of head of the State Intelligence Unit yesterday (08) citing health problems .
President had also requested him to resign from his post it has been revealed. However few weeks days ago President has revealed at a meeting held with Senior Police Officers that he had removed the DIG Mendis from the post .

Indian Prime Minister Narendra Singh ModI Arrived In Sri Lanka For A Short Visit
Premier ModI was welcomed on his arrival at the Katunayake ,International Airport by Prime Minister Ranil Wikramasinghe and government officials .He was later went to President's office in Colombo Fort and on the way hold bi lateral talks with Sri Lankan Premier Ranil Wikramasinghe in the car it has been revealed .
On his way to the President's office to meet President Maithripala SIRISENA Indian Prime Minister Had unexpectedly visited the Saint Anthony's Church in Kochchikade to see the activities there after the Easter Sunday attacks .He was accompanied their by Sri Lankan Premier Wikramasinghe and Colombo Archbishop Cardinal Malcolm Ranjith.
After spending some time there Premier ModI visited President Sirisena at President's office where he was received a red carpet welcome .Later the two leaders held bilateral lateral talks .
He had also held a short discussion with Tamil National Alliance Leader R.Sambandhan and MP's of the alliance at Indian High Commission this evening and promised that India will assist to find a political solution for the Ethnic conflict in North and East .
