Three villages belonging to Artanagalla and Meerigama Divisional Secretariets in Gampaha District are being isolated after identifying 37 Corona positives from the villages .

Accordingly villages Maligakanda, Eluwapitiya and kurikotuwa are being isolated and entering and leaving from these villages are being banned by the authorities.

Police have used road barricades to prevent outsiders from entering these villages .Among those who had tested positive for Corona virus in these villagea were four Buddhist Monks in Eluwaputiya Temple .

"PCR "Tests To Be Performed In Prisons

State Minister of Prison Reforms Dr Sudarshani Fernando pulled has instructed the prison Authorities to perform "PCR "tests for Prison inmates and Prison officers at all prisons in the island to prevent spreading of Corona virus in prisons .

State Minister Dr.Fernandopulle has also informed the prison Authorities to prepare a programme to treat Corona positives inside prisons if someone is tested positive for the virud during the tests

Two Villages Ar Mannar Are Being Isolated

TwIo villages in Mannar District ,"Pattitottam" and "Periyakadai" are being isolated today (11) by the Health authorities after six persons at a construction site in front of a church in Mannar had been tested positive for Corona virus .

Accordingly 40 persons attached to the construction site and some persons attached to church are being self isolated the Army Commander General Shavendra De Silva had stated .

A Third Year Female Srudent Of Kekaniya Unicersity Had Tested Positive For Corona Virus

A third year student attached to Social science faculty of Kelaniya University had been tested positive for Corona virus according to the University .

The Positive student who has finally visited the University on 30 th of September is a daughter of an employee attached to Brandix Apperal factory in Minuwangoda who is also a corona positive it had been revealed .

As the Kelaniya University has been closed down since last Sunday (04)authorities have performed "PCR "tests on the two female university students who are close contacts of the Corona positive student.

Yesterday (10) another female student attached to Sri Jayawardanapura University cursory on Kotte had been tested positive for Corona virus .

105 Corona Positives Had Been Reported Yesterday (10)

A total of 105 Corona postrives had been reporated in the country yesterday (10) increasing the total number of Corona positives reported so far to 4628 according to Epidemeology Unit.

Accordingly among first 103 Corona positives reported in the country yesterday there were 02 positives working at Brandix Apperal factory in Minuwangoda and 101 of their close contacts.

At the moment 1309 Corona positives are being treated at Government Hospitals.
