Government Delayed The Implementing Of The Decision To Ban Cattle Slaughter In The Country For A Month

Prime Minister Advised Education Minister To See The Possibility Of Providing An Egg Daily For School Children
Prime Minister Mahinda Rajapakshe
has advised Education Minister Professor G.L. Pieris to see the possiblity to give a boiled egg daily for school children it has been reported.
The aim of this proposal is to uplift the nutritional status of School children it has been revealed during a meeting held between Prime Minister Rajapakshe and representatives of Bakery Owners and Egg Manufacturers Unions at Premier 's official residence at Wijerama Road, Colombo yesterday (11).
The meeting was held to discuss on the possibilities of providing eggs for Bakeries for lower price to Make Bakery products .During the meeting Egg Manufacturers had agreed to provide Eggs for Bakers for Rs.16 per an Egg according to reports.
Earlier Bakery Owners had threatened to increase Bakery products if they didn't receive Eggs for lower prices and also requested the Government permission to import eggs .

Accordingly 07 Arrivals from United Arab Emirates (UAE ),05 Arrivals from Maldives and 02 arrivals from Saudi Arabia had tested positive for Corona virus during the day .
Today the total number of Corona positives had been increased to 3169 the unit has stated .

Accordingly Corona positives admitted to Infectious Diseases Hospital (IDH ) in Angoda and Welikanda Base Hospital had been discharged from hospitals after full recovery ,increasing the total number of Corona positives that had been discharged from hospitals to 2969 .
At the moment 188 Corona positives are being treated in Government Hospitals.

The 37 prison inmates who are on hunger strike demanding to stop searching prison premises ,stop searching guests who are visiting prisons inmates and lift the ban imposed over inmates contacting their close associates through the phone according to sources.
However Prisons Commissioner General Thushara Upul Deniya has stated that solutions will be provided for fair demands of prison inmates if there are any .
