Public Security Minister Had Ordered the IGP To Inquire On Former State Minister Lohan Ratwatte

 The Minister Of Public Security Retired Admiral Sarath Wweerasekare had today (16) instructed the Inspector General Of police (IGP ) to investigate on the compliant made to the Criminal Investigations Department (CID ) over former State Minister of Prisons Management Lohan Ratwaate regarding the harassments he has made against prisoners in Anuradhapura Prison ,

The former State Minister Ratwatte had resigned from his Ministerial Portfolio yesterday (15) over the incident ,Prisoners Rights Protection Committee had complained the CID on the incident ,Former State Minister had harassed a group of prisoners at Anuradhapaura Prison last Sunday when he had visited there ,

 සැම අයෙකුටම තමන් ප්‍රිය කරන /ආදරය කරන අය ජීවිතයට ලං කරගැනීමට මෙන්ම  ඔවුන් සමග සදාකාලික බැඳීමක් ඇති කරගැනීමට අවස්ථාව හිමි නොවේ .එවැනි අවස්ථාවක් ලැබෙන අල්ප දෙනාගෙන් වැඩි දෙනෙකු  "ඔබ හා මා අතර කිසිදු වෙනසක් නැහැ",මා ඔබ සමග සැම විටම සිටිනවා " වැනි වදන්  එකිනෙකාට පවසාවියැයි සිතිය නොහැක ,එහෙත් එවැනි වදන් සැබෑවටම ක්‍රියාවට නැගිය හැක්කේ   ආත්මීය  බැඳීමකට පමණි ,(උපුටා ගැනීමකි )

 Another 2271 Corona Positives had been reported today (16) ,increasing the total number of Corona positives reported so far to 498,694 according to Epidemiology Unit ,

At the moment 58,287 Corona positives are being treated at Government /Private hospitals /Quarantine Centers and Under home care system the Unit has stated ,

A 24 Year Old Youth Was Killed Due To A Wild Elephant Attack

 A 24 year old youth was killed  due to a Wild Elephant attack at Dangaswewa village in Saliyawewa area ,Puttalama division yesterday (15) .

The deceased had faced this incident whilst returning to his house from friends house last morning according to Saliyawewa police  ,

118 Corona Deaths Had Been Reported In The Country Today (16)

A total of 118 Corona deaths had been reported today (16) in the country ,Increasing the total number of Corona deaths reported so far to 11.817 according to Director General Of Health Services (DGHS ) .
