A 16 Year Old School.Boy At Rajanganaya Area Suspected As Infected With Corona Virus -86 Of His Contacts Are Being Quarantined

As Health authorities have  suspected 

A 16 year old School boy at Yaya -05 area in Rajanganaya ,Anuradhapura is being  infected with Corona  virus , he along with 86  close contacts of him are being self quarantined today (13)  it has been revealed. 

Accordingly 50 students of the suspected corona positive and 06 teachers as well as 30 persons living around his house are being self quarantined. 

The suspected student had tested positive for Corona virus when the first "PCR " test performed on him and tested negative in the second test it has been revealed .

Now health authorities are awaiting the result of the third "PCR "performed on him according to reports .

Twenty Four Corona Positives Were Discharged From Hospitals Yesterday (12) And Today (13)

A total of 24 Corona positives had been

discharged from hospitals both yesterday (12) and today (13) after full recovery  according to the Epidemeology Unit.

Accordingly 16 Corona positives had been discharged from hospitals yesterday  (12) and 08 were discharged today (13) affer full recovery .

The total number of Corona positives discharged from hospitals after recovery so far  had been increased to 2646 .

Two Corona Positives Had Been Reported Yesterday (12) And Today (13)-Epidemeology Unit

According to the Epidemeology Unit

only one Corona positive each had been reported in the country both yesterday (12) and today (13) increasing the total number of Corona positives to 2882 .

The Corona positive identified yesterday was an Indian  sea Marshal arrived from Egypt who is  on quarantine at  a Quarantine Center and the identity of the positive reported today has not yet been revealed .

At the moment 225 Corona positives are being treated in Government Hospitals. 

Sri Lankan Airlines Flights From Colombo -Shanghai To Be Stopped After Identifying 23 Corona positive Passangers On Board Of A Sri Lankan Airlines Flight -Chinese Media

Chinese Civil Aviation  Administration

Department has decided to suspend Sri Lankan Airlines flights from Colombo ,Sri lanka to Shanghai, China for a 4 week period with effect from 17 th of August after identifying 23 Corona positive Passangers on board of  a Sri Lankan Airlines flight arrived in Shanghai from Colombo it has been reported .

According to Chinese Media,, Colombo -Shanghai Sri Lankan Airlines flights along with Etihad Airways flights From AbudhabI   to Shanghai and China Eastern Airlines flights from Manila to Shanghai  will be stopped following identifying of  Corona positive Passangers on board.

However Sri Lankan Airlines has announced today (13)that the Sri Lankan Airlines flights to Shanghai scheduled to be temporarily stopped due to identifying a group of Corona positives pn board of a Sri Lankan Airlines flight  that arrived at Shanghai, China from Middle east.

No further details were given by the Sri Lankan Airlines regarding the nationality of the Sri lankan Airlines Passangers tested positive for Corona virus in China .
