Sports Minister Mahindananda Aluthgamage has said in Parliament today that The Elections for electing Office Bearers for the Board Of Control In Cricket Of Sri Lanka will be held in January 2012.
The Sports Minister recently removed the previous Office Bearers of the Cricket Interim Committee who handled the recently concluded World Cup Cricket Tournment in the Sub Continent and appointed a new administration headed by former Cricket Board Chairman Upali Dharmadasa.

Mayor Of Galle Removed From The Post Over Fraud And Corruption
The Mayor Of Galle Methsiri Silva has been removed from his post over the allegations of Fraud and Corruption Southern Provincial Council Chief Minister's Office has announced today.
Mohommad Husain Fawzul Niyas has been appointed as the Acting Mayor of Galle.
