Three School Girls Drowned In Kelani River -One Body Has Been Recovered
Three School Girls who went to bathe in Kelaniya River last afternoon have been drowned in the river according to the Police.
The residents of the area have managed to recovered a body of one girl but other two are still missing the Police have said.
The Body of the deceased girl has taken to Colombo National Hospital .
The Police and Navy have launched a joint search operation to locate the two missing girls .

Suicide Rate Among Sri Lankan Girls Of The Age 18-26 Is On the Increase-Dr.Asanga Wijeratne
The Suicide Rate among the Sri Lankan girls of the ages 18-26 is on the increase due to the Western Concept Valentine's Day according to Sri Lankan Specialist Doctor on Human Kinetics and Sports Medical Science Asanga Wijeratne
According to a survey carried out regarding these suicides ,Breaking Of Expectations is identified as the main cause behind these suicides Dr.Wijeratne has said.Most of the girls who are committing Suicide are members of Middle Class Families he has stressed.
Twenty School Children Have Been Admitted To Minuwangoda Hospital Due To A Food Poisoning
Twenty School Children attached to a School in Minuwangoda(In Western Province)Area have been admitted to the Minuwangoda Hospital this morning due to a food poisoning occurred after consuming the break first provided for them from School.
These School Children in the ages of 8 and 9 years have fallen sick after consuming the Break First provided by the School which included Sprats and Tomatoes according to the Police.

Five Persons Have Been Injured And Hospitalized Due To A Car-Bus-Jeep Collision At Southern Expressway
Five Persons have been injured and hospitalized this evening near Pinnaduwa Entrance at 91 and 92 Mile Posts of the Southern Expressway after Three Cars,A Bus and A Jeep have collided with each other .
These Vehicles have collided with each other as a Car traveling on the Southern Expressway towards Galle had applied breaks to save an animal crossed the expressway.Due to this the vehicles came behind the car crashed against each other it has been reported.
Three Females and Two Males who got injured due to the accident have been admitted to Karapitiya Teaching Hospital for treatment.

Three Persons have been injured and hospitalized this evening at Kirindiwela due to a wall collapsed on top of them after a Private Bus crashed against the wall it has been reported.

Sri Lanka Navy Have Suspended Four Of It's Rugby Players Who Were Wearing "YO-7"Arm Bands To Show Solidarity To Detained Former President's Son
Sri Lanka Navy have today(15) suspended four Rugby Players of the Navy Rugby Team from the squad who were wearing an Arm Bands named as "YO -7" which representing the former president's detained son Yoshitha Rajapakshe's name and number of the Team .
The Four Rugby Players were wearing 'YO-7" Arm bands during the Match played yesterday (14)against Sri Lanka Army Rugby Team at Diyagama Grounds to show solidarity to their former Captain of Sri Lanka Navy Rugby Team Yoshitha Rajapakshe who had been remanded recently over money laundering charges it has been reported.
The Navy Chief has ordered the authorities to investigate on the incident further.

Navy Have Arrested 17 Local Fishermen Who Had Been Involved In Illegal Fishing With Banned Equipment
Sri Lanka Navy have today(15) arrested 17 Local Fishermen who had been involved in illegal fishing in Sri Lankan Waters along with banned fishing equipment.
The group of Local Fishermen have been arrested while engaged in illegal fishing in Uchchamuniya and Kimbulbokka Sea Areas by using banned nets according to Sri Lanka Navy.
Along with the Fishermen the Navy have arrested seven pairs of Diving Fins,18 conch Shells,31 Oxygen Tanks and 5 GPS's.
The detained Fishermen and their equipment have been handed over to the Assistant Director Of Fisheries in Puttalam(In North Western Province) for further investigations.

Four Buddhist Monks Who Had Involved In Violent Protests In Front Of Homagama Magistrate Court Have Been Remanded
The Four Buddhist Monks who had allegedly involved in violent protests in front of Homagama Magistrate Court on 26th of January against remanding Bodu Bala Sena General Secretary Galagodaaththe Gnanasara Thero had surrendered to the Homagama Police this morning.
After surrendering to the Police the four monks including Venerable Iththakande Saddhathissa Thero and Venerable Akmeemana Dayaratne Thero have been produced before Homagama Magistrate Court and the Magistrate has remanded them until tomorrow(16).
