Two Sections Of The Health Ministry Had Shut Down After Identifying 08 Corona Positives

 Two sections of the Ministry of Health had been temporarily closed down yesterday (18)after identifying 08 Staff members as Corona positives the Ministry sources had revealed .

Accordingly Medical Services -1 and Exams units had been temporarily closed and 74 staff members attached to these sections  are being quarantined the sources have added

Although the  Ministry of Health is being urged other institutions in the country   to avoid Crowd gathering in their places and adapt Anti Corona health guidelines including wearing a mask and social distancing ,Authorities in the Ministry had done the opposite and brought all the Employees in the Ministry to work at once  by creating a risk environment  since last December the sources have added .

774 Corona Positives Had Been Discharged Today (19)

 A total of 774 Corona positives had been discharged from Government hospitals and treatment centers Today (19)after full recovery according to the Epidemeology Unit 

Upto now 46,594 Corona positives had been discharged from hospitals and treatment centers after full recovery 

660 Corona Positives Reported Today (19)

 A total of 660 Corona Positives. Had been reported in the country today (19)increasing  the total number of Corona positives reported so far to 54,419 according to National Covid -19 Prevention Center .

Accordingly all the Corona Positives reported today were contacts of the Corona positives reported from Minuwangoda ,Paliyagoda and Prisons Corona clusters the center has stated .Altogether 50,561 Corona positives had been reported from these clusters so far .

At the moment 7555 Corona positives are being treated at Government hospitals and treatment  centers it has been revealed.

Three Corona Deaths Reported Today (19)

 Another 03 Corona Deaths had been reported today(19) increasing the total number of Corona deaths reported so far in the Country to 273, according to National Covid -19 Prevention Center .

Accordingly two females and a male of the ages 68,48 and 70 tears  and resided at Aranayake ,Colombo -06 and Maligawatte areas had died due to the complications of Non communicable Diseases caused by Corona infection .

They have died whilst receiving treatment at Anuradhapura Teaching Hospital and Neville Fernando Teaching Hospital at Malabe it has been revealed .
