A Suicide Death Earlier Declared As Corona Death Later Turns To A Death Not Related To Corona Virus

 Although a 27 year old youth who had died due to the effects of hanging himself tested positive for Corona virus during the post mortem held on his death ,Epidemeology Unit has yesterday (02)decided to remove that death from Corona related death list of the country by considering it as a death Not caused due to corona virus 

The youth has died  on Admission to Panadura Hospital on 31st of October after hanging himself to commit suicide and during the post mortem he had tested positive for Corona virus through the "PCR " Test performed on him .

Last noon Epidemeology Unit has announced this death as the 22 nd Corona death in the country ,However later in the day declared it as a death not related to Corona virus as it's a suicide death  

Due to this the  total number of Corona  deaths in the country stands at 21 The director of Epidemeology Unit Dr Sudath Samaraweera has stated .

275 Corona Positive Were Reported Yesterday (02)

 A total of 275 Corona positives had been reported yesterday (02) in the island increasing the total number of Corona positives reported so  far in the country to 11,335 according to Epidemeology Unit 

Out of the total number of Corona positives reported yesterday 230 Were close contacts of the Corona positives   belonging to Minuwangoda Brsndix and Paliyagoda fish Market corona clusters and 43 were reported from Quarantine centers .There were 02 Corona positives reported from  those clusters as well the Epidemeology Unit has stated  

The total number of Corona positives belonging to Brsndix and Paliyagoda clusters now strands at 7857 .

At the moment 6065 Corona positives are being treated at government hospitals. 

Five Areas Had Been Isolated With Immediate Effect

 Five Areas in Kegallr and Kurunagala Districts had. Been isolated with immediate effect since this evening (02) under the instructions of Director General Of Health Services Dr.Asela Gunawardana to prevent the spreading of Corona virus in these. Areas the National Covid-19 prevention Center has announced. 

Accordingly Hemmathagama ,Mawanella and Bulathkohupitiya  police divisions at Kegalla District ,Galigamuwa pradesheya sabha area and Giriulla police division in Kurunagala District are being isolated the center has stated  .

Another 344 Corona Positives Had Been Discharged From Hospitals Today (02)

 Another 344 Corona positives had been discharged today. (02)from hospitals after full recovery  according to Epidemeology Unit .

Accordingly the total number of Corona positives discharged from Hospitals do far after full recovery had been risen to 5249.

397 Corona Positives Had Been Reported Yesterday (01)

 A total of 397 Corona Positives had been reported in the island yesterday (01) according to Epidemeology Unit .

Accordingly majority of Corona positives which is 179  had been reported from Gampaha District and 93 positives had been reported from Colombo District .

Another 33 Corona positives had been reported from Kalutara District .

Ipto now 11,224 Corona positives had been reported so far from the county and 5954 Corona positives are being treated at government hospitals at the moment
