Three Persons Had Been Killed And Two Had Been Injured Due To Van-Tipper Collision

Three persons including a Van driver  and two females had been killed and two others had been critically injured and hospitalized after the Van they were travelling in colliding with a Tipper Truck at Kudameegaswewa in Habarana -Dambullla main road last night (15).

The two critically injured including a male and a female had been admitted to the Dambulla Base Hospital where the female had been transferred to the Kandy Teaching Hospital for further treatment .

The deceased were residents of Kaduruwela area in Polonnaruwa District it has been reported.

Habarana Police have arrested the Tipper driver over the incident .Police have confirmed  the identities of the deceased and injured through their identity cards and Mobile numbers found inside  the Van .

The incident occurred when the Van travelling from Dambulla to Polonnaruwa had collided with the Tipper transporting sand  From Polonnruwa to Dambulla. However Police were unable to identify the purpose and  the destination of those travelling in the Van 
.

President Has Promoted 31 Army Colonials As Brigadiers

President Maithripala Sirisena had promoted Thirty One Army Colonials  as Brigadiers accordance to the recommendation of Army Commander Lieutenant General  Mahesh Senanayake  Sri Lanka Army has announced  .

These promotions will be implemented with effect from 30th of July it has been stated.

Navy Have Recovered 1.05 Kilo Grammes Of "Ice" Narcotic

Navy officers attached to North Central Navy Command have taken in to custody 1.05 Kilo Grammes of "Ice"narcotic hidden at Coastal area in Urumalai ,Thaleimannar today (16) during a special search mission .

However no one was arrested during the search mission it has been reported.

The stock of "Ice" had been handed over to the Thalaimannar Police for further investigations .

Sixteen Year Old Son Of The Deputy Leader Of Banned Thowheed Jamaath Organization Arrested

Police have today (16)arrested a 16 year

old teanager Mohommad Naufer Abdulla allias Abu Nizam who is the son of the Deputy leader of Banned National Thowheed Jamaath Organization Naufar Maulavi  over receiving arms training with Chief Easter Sunday Bomb Attacks suspect Mohommad Zahran Hashim at Ampara .
The suspect who is a resident of KakunagoLla area in Ampara is the first teanaged  militant arrested over the Easter Sunday attacks according to Police. The suspect had received arms training with Zahran at a training camp in Nuwara Eliya it has been revealed.

Nick named "Abu Nizam the suspect was arrested accordance to the information provided by the Easter Sunday Bomb suspects who are in Criminal Investigations Department (CID) Custody to the State Intelligence Unit at Ampara .

CID Officials are conducting an investigations over the incident. 

Thirteen Sri Lankans Expelled from Australia Arrived In Sri Lanka

A group of 13 Sri Lankan males who

had illegally migrated to Australia and expelled from that country, Had arrived in Katunayake ,Bandaranaike International Airport by a special flight this morning (16) .

The group of illegal mIgrants who had left for Australia recently by  A multisectoral Fisheries Boat  at Chilaw had been taken in to custody by the Immigration and Emigration Department officers on their arrival and handed over them to Criminal Investigations  Department  (CID) for further investigations.

These mIgrants had been sent here  amidst security provided by Australian Security officers it had been revealed.
