Two Three Wheelers Collided Each Other In Dikoya
Two three wheelers had severely damaged due to a
head on collision occurred at Dikoya,Wanaraja area on Hatton-Bagawanthalawa main road this noon (14).
All the passangers travelling in two Three wheelers escape unharmed it has been revealed.
The collision occurred between a high speed Three Wheeler travelling from Hatton to Norton,Lakshapana area and another Three Wheeler travelling from Norwood to Hatton area.
Police have arrested the driver of the High speed Three Wheeler regarding the incident.
A Landslide Occurred In A Mountain At Bulathsinghale Area
Around 16 families were removed from their houses
due to a landslide occurred in mountain near the Halwatura temple in Bulathsinghale area today (14).
The Landslide was occurred in a 50 meter area of upper part of the Mountain and the removed families lived in lower part of the Mountain it has been revealed.

Landslide Warnings Issued To Galle And Kalutara Districts-Heavy Showers To Continue
The National Building Research Organization (NBRO)
has today (14)issued landslide warnings to Galle and Kalutara Districts due to the heavy showers prevailing in several areas of those districts.
Accordingly Baddegama Divisional Secretariat of Galle District and Bulathsinghale,Agalawatte,Palinda
nuwara,Walallawita and Ingiriya Divisional Secretariats of Kalutara Divisional Secretariats have received landslide warnings .
At present over 100 mili meters of rain is being received to Baddegama,Agalawatte and Ingiriya areas and if the rain continues further people living in Landslide risk areas should vacate their houses and move to safe places NBRO has requested.
Heavy showers have received in several areas of Western province as well including Colombo both last evening (13) and this evening (14) which resulted in submerged roads causing severe difficultiea to the public.
According to the Met department heavy thunder showers assisted with winds will be occurred in Western and Sabaragamuwa provinces and Galle and Matara Districts during next 24 hours.

Government To Import 100,000 Metric Tonnes Of Rice Per Month Until Next April
Government has decided to import 100,000 metric
tonnes of Rice per month until Next April to avoid any Rice shortage in the country it has been announced today (14).
This decision has been taken during the meeting of Cabinet Sub Committee On Economic Management chaired by Prime Minister Ranil Wikramasinghe.
The Sub Committee has also decided to extend the duration of Rs.1.25 special tariff imposed per a Kilo Gramme of Rice until 31st of March next year and to allow any Private Institution to import rice to Sri Lanka in view of avoiding any rice shortage in the country until next April.

To control the rising prices of the Coconuts in the local Market ,President Maithripala Sirisena had given a permission to the Coconut Cultivation Board to import Coconut Meat according to the Board.
Coconut Cultivation Board has decided to give an opportunity to the Private sector to import Coconut Meat from India it has been revealed.
At present in some food cities and open markets the price of a Coconut is around Rs.100 although government had fixed a price as Rs.75 per Coconut.

CID Had Begun An Investigations To Arrest An Engineer And A Monk Over The Killing Of Tusker "Dalaputtuwa"
The Criminal Investigations Department (CID) had begun an investigations to arrest an executive Engineer and a Chief Incumbent of a Temple regarding the shot and killing of the Tusker "Galgamuwe Dalaputtuwa".
Nine persons including three Rural Development Officers (Grama Seva Niladhari) have already arrested and remanded over the killing of the Tusker "Dalaputtuwa" and selling of his Tusks and during the questioning of first and second suspects the names of the Engineer and the Chief Incumbent had been revealed.
The Investigations on the shot and killing of the Tusker handed over to the CID as per an order given by the Mahawa Additional Magistrate and District Judge Rasika Mallawaarachchi..
