Twenty Eight out of the Thirty persons participated a funeral held in Vavuniya (Northern Province ) had been tested positive for Corona virus according to the health authorities in Vavuniya ,This funeral was held on 24th of August at pattepirindakulama village in olumaduwa ,Vavuniya and suddenly two persons who were attended the funeral got flu and admitted to Vavuniya ,Puliyankulama hospital it has been revealed ,
They had tested positive for corona virus after a PCR test had been performed on them ,Afterwards authorities had done Rapid antigen tests for another 28 participants of the funeral and out of them 26 were tested positive for corona virus it has been reported ,Health authorities in Vavuniya had launched a mission to trace the contacts of these positives it has been reported ,
194 Corona Deaths Had Been Reported Today (31)
Accordingly 100 males and 94 females had died due to corona infection and out of the deceased 146 were over 60 years of age it has been revealed ,Also there were 45 deaths belonged to the 30-60 years age group and 03 of the deceased were under 30 years old ,
Another 4221 Corona Positives Had Been Reported Today (31)
At the moment 56,961 Corona positives are being treated at Government Hospitals and Quarantine Centers .
Meanwhile 2164 Corona positives had been recovered and discharged from hospitals today ,increasing the total number of Corona positives recovered and discharged so far to 374,156 it has been revealed ,

A Doctor And A Family Health Officer Had Been Transferred Over Vaccinating A 12 Year Old Girl With Corona Vaccine "Pfizer "
The doctor in charge of The Corona vaccination center at Kokkavil Primary Collage in Chilaw,Puttalam District (North Western Province ) and Family Health Officer attached to the Vaccination Center had been transferred to the Corona Treatment Center at Puttalam Base Hospital today (26) with immediate effect by the health authorities over injecting a "Pfizer " Ani Corona vaccine dose to a 12 year old girl by violating the Corona vaccination policy. .
Although Ministry of Health has not yet been approved to vaccinate those who are under 18 years of age .the Doctor in charge of the vaccination center had vaccinate his 12 year old daughter it has been revealed
Soon after revealing on the incident the Health authorities in Puttalam District had transferred the Doctor and the family health officer who had supported the doctor to vaccinate his daughter according to reports ,

A person was arrested with 03 kilo grammes of Kerala Cannabis in his possession at the Kadireshan Street in Colombo Fort area today (25) by the Special Police Task Force personal .
Accordingly the suspect along with the stock of cannabis had been handed over to Colombo Fort police for further investigations .The estimated value of the stock of Kerala Cannabis taken in to custody is around Rs.1.2 million ,

Former Minister And veteran politician Mangala Samaraweera has died today (24) whilst receiving treatment for Corona infection at a private hospital in Colombo .He was 65 years old st the time of his death .He had earlier admitted to a hospital in Matara a week back after beinh tested positive for Corona virus .Lsyer he was alrlifted to a private hospital in Colombo few days back as his condition had worsened .
The deceased former Minister has held several ministerial portfolios during his long political career under different governments including Ministry of Finance and Foreign Affairs
He had quited from politics after last year's General election .

A total of 4282 Corona positives had been reported yesterday (22) in the country ,increasing the total number of Corona positives reported so far to 390,000 according to Ministry of Health .This was the first time that the number of daily Corona positives in Sri Lanka had exceeded over 4000 .

Another Stock Of "Pfizer" 'Vaccine Doses Brought To Sri Lanka This Morning (23)
Another 76,000 doses of Pfizer Anti Corona Vaccine had arrived in Sri Lanka this morning (23) according to Authorities .
This stock of "Pfizer " vaccine doses had been brought to Sri Lanka through a Qatar Airways flight it has been revealed .
Meanwhile Sri Lanka is due to recieve another stock of 01 miliion Sinopharm vaccine doses tomorrow (24) according to Chinese embassy in Colombo .
Upto now little more than 10 million persons in Sri Lanka had been received at least one dose of Anti Corona vaccine and little more than 5.6 million had received two doses of Corona vaccine the Epifemrology unit has stated .
Authorities Should Have Performed Over 100,000 Daily PCR Tests To Achieve Success At This Moment -JVP
Although a 10 day quarantine curfew is being imposed in the country at present to prevent the spreading of Corona virus ,there's a need to perform at least around 100,000 daily "PCR " Tests in the country to achieve success through this curfew claims the Political Bureau member of leftist Jantha Wimukthi Permauna Lal Kantha .
In addition authorities should have launched an island wide mission to trace contacts of the Corona positives he has stressed

A Group Of Dancers Participating Esala Procession Had Tested Positive For Corona
A group of 46 dancers participated in the procession "Randoli " held prior to the historical Esala Procession (Perahara ) representing Kataragama Dewalaya (Temple ) scheduled to be held today (22),had tested positive corona virus it has been reported .
These dancers had been tested positive for Corona virus after performing Rapid Antigen tests for 76 dancers representing Kataragama Dewalaya according to reports ,Those who had tested positive and their close contacts were removed from the procession and currently are under quarantine .Health authorities in Kandy had taken steps to perform Rapid Antigen tests for all those participating Esala Procession daily it has been reveled ,
