Medical specialists appealed to the relatives of the Brain death persons to give permission to get kidneys from these patients for those who need a kidney transplants adding that it will be a benefit for those needy.In Kandy teaching hospital two kidneys taken from a brain death patient were successfully transplanted to two patients during last week hospital authorities said.A liver was taken from the same brain death patient to perform sri lanka's first Liver transplant surgery performed during last week at the Colombo,National Hospital.
