A 15 Year Old Boy Was Arrested And Remanded Over Attacking A 11 Year Old Girl With A Knife
A 11 year old School Girl had been admitted to Karapitiya Teaching Hospital with serious injuries after a 15 year old School Boy has attacked her with a Knife at a Forest area in Egodagoda area ,Hikkaduwa last Friday(04).
The suspected boy had been arrested by the Hikkaduwa Police and remanded under probation custody until 14 th of January after producing before Galle Magistrate Court.
The incident occurred when a heated argument between the two who had gone to the forest to build a play house ,developed in to an anger and as a result the boy had attacked the girl with a knife to her neck and face it has been revealed.

A 24 Year Old Youth Has Committed Suicide By Hanging Himself
A body of a 24 year old youth who had committed suicide by hanging himself had been
recovered at a House in Kottamunai,Batticaloa last evening(06).
The deceased who was a resident of Kottamunai area had hanged himself outside his house and he has died when his relatives attempted to admit him to Batticaloa Teaching Hospital according to sources.
The cause behind the suicide has not yet been revealed.
Batticaloa Police are conducting an investigation over the incident.

Cabinet Meeting To Convene Tomorrow(07)
The Cabinet Meeting which scheduled to be held this Tuesday (08) will now be held tomorrow
(07) at 9 a.m under the patronage of President Maithripala Sirisena it has been reported.
This week's Cabinet Meeting will be held early as President has several programmes regarding the fourth anniversary of him becoming President ,to attend on this Tuesday it has been revealed.
Meanwhile a special meeting of Cabinet Ministers was held under the patronage of Prime Minister Ranil Wikramasinghe at Temple Trees in Colombo today (06) to discuss on the proposals due to submit to Cabinet tomorrow .

A special meeting of the Parliamentary
Group of United People's Freedom Alliance (UPFA)is scheduled to be held tomorrow evening (07)at 3.p.m at the Parliamentary Complex under the patronage of President Maithripala Sirisena.
The special meeting of UPFA Parliamentary group will be held to discuss on how to respond in parliament regarding the programme going to be implemented by the government which affect people and to gain opposition rights it has been revealed.
Every opposition MP has been invited to attend the meeting .
Parliament is due to meet this Tuesday (08)for the first time this year.

A Sudden Fire Erupted In Agarapathana Mountain
A Sudden fire had erupted in western
slope area of the Agarapathana Mountain at Agarapathana area this noon (06)and it currently spreading towards the top of the Mountain according to Police.
Due to the severe dry weather condition and strong winds prevailing in the Central hills areas at present, The fire is spreading rapidly it has been reported .
Police are due to make arrangements to control the spreading of fire further .
Authorities believe an individual or a group of persons may have lit the fire .
Police have requested the public to provide information regarding those who are setting fire to reserves these days .

A Female Motorcyclist Was Killed Due To A Road Accident
A 47 year old Female Motorcycle rider
had been killed and a Pillion rider had been injured and hospitalized after the Motorcycle they were riding in veering off the road and colliding with a lamp post at Veda Junction in KotaDeniyawa ,Meerigama -Divulapitiya road last night (05).
The critically injured Female Motorcyclist who was a resident of Banduragoda area had succumbed to her injuries on admission to Meerigama Hospital .
The Pillion rider had been also admitted to Meerigama Hospital for treatment .
The incident occurred due to the Motorcyclist's inability to control the spead of the Motorcycle.

Charge ) made by Inspector General Of Police (IGP)Pujith Jayasundara had been cancelled as per the instructions of National Police Commission and Defense Secretary.
IGP Has made these transferes by saying they have approved by National Police Commission, However within 48 hours after the Police message issued regarding the Transferes ,IGP himself has cancelled them.
It has been revealed without the approval of Police Commission, IGP Jayasundara has made these transferes .
