Four Officers Attached To Sathosa Had Been Remanded Over The Garlic Scam

Four officers attached to "Sathosa " (Cooperative Wholesale Establishment ) had been arrested by  the CID (Criminal Investigations Department ) and remanded until 14th of October over the Garlic scam .

The four suspects were remanded after been produced before the Wattala Magistrate Court .The counsel appeared behalf of the suspects had requested bail for his clients ,However CID opposed it stating the suspects should not be granted bail until the investigations on the case  are  over ,

Deputy General Manager (Purchasing ) at Lanka Sathosa " Limited ,A Senior Manager (Supllies )at Lanka Sathosa and two managers (Wholesale ) at Sathosa stores at Welisara were arrested and remanded over the Garlic scam  occurred at Sathosa ,

23 Corona Deaths Reported Today (12)

 A total of 23 Corona deaths had been reported today (12) in the country ,Increasing the total number of Corona deaths reported so far to 13,377the Director General Of Health  Services (DGHS) has announced .

Accordingly 12 females and 11 males had died due to Corona infection the DGHS Has stated .Out of the deceased 19 were over 60 years of age and 03 were belonged to the 30-60 year age group it has been revealed .One of the deceased was under 30 years of age .

Daily "PCR " And "Rapid Antigen Tests Are On The Decrease

"PCR " and "Rapid Antigen Tests performed yesterday (11)in the Country  had been further declined according to Health Promotions Bureau ,Accordingly only 5299 "PCR" Tests and 2430 "Rapid Antigen Tests had been performed yesterday .

Due to the reduction of daily PCR and Rapid Antigen Tests performs in the country the number of Corona Positives identified is also declining Health Circles have stated ,

671 Corona Positives Had Been Reported Today (12)- 10,301 Positives Had Been Recovered And Discharged From Hospitals

 Another 671 Corona Positives had been reported in the country today (12) increasing the total number of Corona positives reported so far to 527,735 according to Epidemiology Unit .

Accordingly at the moment 23,558 Corona Positives are being treated at Government /Private Hospitals /Quarantine Centers and under home care system  .

Meanwhile 10,301 Corona positives had been recovered and discharged from hospitals and Quarantine Centers today .
