Six Persons Were Injured Due To A Wasp Attack

 Six persons including three children were critically injured and hospitalized  due to a Wasp attack occurred at Nirmalapura area in Daluwa,Notochchalai at Puttalam District yesterday(15) it has been reported.

The injured were admitted to the


for treatment .

Among the injured were a mother and three children of the ages 01,06 and 10 years and two by passers at Nirmalapura,area .

A Bus Travelling From Badulla To Colombo Toppled Over In Demodara Area

A bus travelling from Badulla to Colombo had been toppled over to a Floral house near the Water Board office at Demodara,area in Badulla yesterday (15)  injuring 25 passangers it had been reported. 

The injured


were admitted to the  Badulla General Hospital for treatment .

The accident occurred as the driver fails to control the speed of the high speed  Bus according  to the Police.


An Eight And Half Hour Long Water Cut Scheduled For Today(16)

 An eight and  half hour long water cut is scheduled to be implemented  from 8.30 a.m to 5 p.m today (16) In Wattala,Paliyagoda ,Seeduwa and Katunayake Urban Council areas due to an urgent repair work in Sapugaskande Sub power grid according to National Water Supplies and Drainage Board .


This water cut will be implemented as a result of the halting water supply to the Biyagama Water purification plant for eight and half hours today (16) the wster Board has stated.

Govt.Reduced The Price Of Muriate Of Potash Fertilizer

 Government had reduced the Price of a 50 KG Sack of Muriate Of Potash known as "Bundi Fertilizer  by Rs.1000 with effect from today (15) according to the Minister of Agriculture Mahinda Amaraweera.


Accordingly the price of a 50 KG sack of  Muriate of Potash will be reduced from Rs.15,000 to Rs.14,000 with effect from today.

Chinese Oil Company To Begin It"s Operations In Sri Lanka

 Chinese Company "Sinopac" is due to begin importation and disrtibuting of oil in Sri lanka with effect from today (13) according to the State  Minister  Dilum Amunugama.


The Chinese company will begin it"s operation in Sri Lanka accordance to the agreement signed with Ceylon Petroleum Corporation (CEYPETCO). the Minister had stated.
