The Annual Budget proposals presented to the Parliament for next year (2024) had passed in Parliament by a majority of 41 votes today(13)
Accordingly 122 MP's were voted in favor of the Budget and 81 voted against it.Along with the Opposition parties former Sports Minister Roshan Ranssinghe was also voted sgainst the Budget proposals.
