Three Youth Drowned Whilst Bathing At Sea Off Nagadeepa
Three Youth were reported as drowned in sea off Nagadeepa Island beach (In Jaffna)whilst bathing there according to Police.
The deceased were 21,22 and 23 years old resided in Kondavil Area the Police have stated.The remains of the deceased have sent to Jaffna Teaching Hospital for an autopsy it has been reported.

Uduwe Dhammaloka Thero Was Indicted And Released On Bail Over Illegal Possession Of An Elephant Calf
Venerable Uduwe Dhammaloka Thero was indicted today(20) on the charges of keeping an elephant calf at his Temple Alanmathiniyaramaya without a valid license and later released on bail by Colombo High Court.
The Uduwe Thero was released on two personal bails of Rs.10 million each and a cash bail imposed by the Magistrate .He was detained and remanded on an earlier occasion too on the same charge and later released on bail.

Around 1771 Premises Received Notices And 392 Faced Legal Action Due To Maintaining Mosquito Breeding Places During 16-18th Of June
Around 1771 premises throughout the island had been issued notices and legal cases were filed against another 392 premises for maintaining dengue mosquito breeding places during the three day special Dengue Mosquito Control Program me implemented between 16-18th of June according to the Ministry Of Health Nutrition and Indigenous Medicine .
During the Programme Tri Forces /Police Personal along with Health Officials carried out house to house inspection throughout the island and checked around 41,000 premises the Ministry has stated.

Executive Presidency Should Not Be Abolished-Minister Ranawake
Although President Maithripala Sirisena has assured when he came to power that Executive Presidency will be abolished his government's Minister of Megapolis and Western Development Patali Champika Ranawake has today(20) stated Executive Presidency should not be abolished .

National Water Supplies Board Announced A 12 Hour Water Cut In Several Areas Of Colombo Tomorrow
The National Water Supplies And Drainage Board has announced a 12 hour water cut from 12.p.m tomorrow(21) to 12 a.m in 12 areas of Colombo including Maharagama.
Accordingly the 12 hour water cut will be imposed on Maharagama,Boralesgamuwa,Mattegoda,Padukka,Kottawa ,Pannipitiya,Homagama,Rukmalgama,Pelenwatte,Godagama,Hanwella and Kaluaggala areas and all connected by roads.

Government Printer Requested An Early Retirement
The Government Printer Gamini Fonseka has requested an early retirement from the post citing personal reasons the deputy minister of parliamentary reforms and media Karunaratne Paranavithana has announced today(20).
As the Government Printer is appointed by Public Services Commission the government is due to take a decision regarding appointing a new Government Printer according to the directives of the PSC the deputy minister has stated.
