There's no plan to delay the Elections and There's no election to be delayed President Ranil Wikramasinghe has stated in Parliament today (23).
By making a special statement in Parliament today President Wikramasinghe has stated that the Elections commission too had informed the Supreme court that due to lack of financial assiatance holding the forthcoming local government election is a question .

The protesters had staged a peotest campaign in front of the Education Minister's office against the Police attack on Satyagraha campaign held yestetday (22) at the Buddhist and Pali university in Pitipana area(Western Province).
Protesters wanted to open the Buddhist and Pali university which was closed two months back .
