Counselor Of The US State Department To Arrive Sri Lanka Today(14)

The Counselor Of The United States State Department Ambassador Thomas Shannon is due to arrive Sri Lanka today(14) for a three day state visit .

During his visit Ambassador Shannon is due to meet Senior Government and Parliamentary  Leaders ,Civil Society/Business Leaders.He is also due to visit Eastern Province to inspect USAID funded Livelihood Projects.

Government Medical Officers Association To Hand Over A Petition Against Prime Minister Wikramasinghe

Government Medical Officers Association (GMOA) has decided to sign a petition against the Prime Minister Ranil Wikramasinghe as a protest to the Statement made against GMOA by him recently.

The Central Committee of the GMOA has decided yesterday (13) to hand over the Petition signed by Branch Unions of the Union to Prime Minister's Office today(14).

Yala National Wild Park To Be Fully Reconstructed Within Next Year-Minister Of Housing

Yala National Wild  Park is to be Fully Reconstructed within next year according to Minister Of Housing And Reconstruction Sajith Premadasa.

The Park will be converted  to Wild Life Conservation Zone the Minister has stressed.

"Yala National Park is now in abandoned state due to the poor administration of the previous government" The Minister has further stated.

Prime Minister To Make A Special Statement In Parliament Tomorrow(14)

Prime Minster  Ranil Wikramasinghe is due to make a special statement in Parliament tomorrow(14) regarding the discussions  held between Trade Unions and Government regarding Budget Proposals and the stand of the Government on the issue.

Discussions were held between Prime Minister Wikramasinghe and  Trade Unions both yesterday(12) and Today(13)) regarding the Union's  demands related to Budget Proposals and Trade Unions have announced these discussions failed to reach a solution and they will going for the General Strike on this Tuesday as planned.
