Police Fired Tear Gas To Disperse Two University Students Demonstrations

 Police had today(03) fired Tear gas and Water cannons to disperse two demonstrations of University students held in front of Sri Jayawardanapura And Moratuwa Universities


Due to the University students  Demonstration held infront of the Moratuwa university against privatising  Education the main road has been blocked  caused enormous difficulties to the public.

Former President Sirisema To Avoid Giving A Statement To Court On Easter Sunday Attacks

Former President Maithripala Sirisena who had given a statement to the Criminal Investigations Department (CID) over the Easter Sunday attack had informed the Maligakande Magistrate court that it is not necessary for him to provide a statement  to the court tomorrow (04).


The Malogakamde Magistrate Court has ordered the former President Sirisena on 28th of March to  provide a statement to the  court on 04th of April based on the comments he made over the Easter Sunday attacls in 2019.Former President  has made a public statement  on 22nd of March saying that he was aware  of the mastetmind behind the Easter sunday attacks .


Former Health Minister's Bail Application Rejected

 Colombo High Court has today(03) rejected the bail application submitted by  the imprisoned   former Health Minister Keheliya Rbukwella who is being in prison over the purchasing of low quality Human Immunoglobulin injection vials.


 By rejecting the bail application the Colombo High Court Judge Damith Thotawatte has,stated that the former Health Minister Rambukwella had not produced any special reason  to release him on bail.
