Prime Minister Had Sworn In As Minister Of Law And Order For A Two Week Period-After That Period Filed Marshal Sarath Fonseka Will Be Appointed To That Post-Health Minister
"Prime Minister Ranil Wikramasinghe had sworn in as the Minister of Law and Order for a two week period and after that Period the Ministerial Portfolio will be handed over to the Field Marshal Sarath Fonseka as earlier planned "the Minister of Health ,Nutrition and Indigenous Medicine Dr.Rajitha Senaratne has stated during a discussion held in the Ministry of Health yesterday(26).
"The higher officers of the Police Department are against appointing of Field Marshal Fonseka for the Law and Order Ministerial Post but the lower grade officers in the Department likes if he is being appointed .This post should be hand over to a person who can take direct decisions not to the ones playing doable games.Those who are talking on war heroes should accept the fact that Field Marshal Fonseka is also a war hero.Nowadays those who were involved in robberies and murders too labeled as war heroes.
Ministerial Post are not permanent and those who put their legs on two parties should be removed .Cabinet Ministers should not be appointed according to Ministers wishes .President and Prime Minister should have take decisions after consulting each other not according to the decisions taken by the Sri Lanka Freedom Party and United National Party"Minister has stressed.

Thirteen Bus Passangers Were Injured Due To A Road Accident
Thirteen Bus Passengers were injured and hospitalized after a Private Bus they were traveling in veering off the road and toppled over on Nuwara-Eliya-Theripaha-Nildandahinna road this morning(27).
The injured were admitted to the Nildandahinna Provincial Hospital for treatment and their condition is not critical it has been revealed.The Bus was traveling from Theripaha area to Nildandahinna area at the time of the accident.
The Bus accident had occurred due to the Driver's inability to control the speed of the bus according to reports.

Two Imprisoned Chief Suspects Of Bond Scam Filed Revised Petitions Seeking Bail
The imprisoned chief suspects of the
Central Bank Bond Scam Arjun Aloysius and Kasun Palisena of Perpetual Treasuries Limited had filed revised petitions in Colombo High Court seeking bail.
The Chief Executive Officer of the Perpetual Treasuries Kasun Palisena had recently filed the revised petition seeking bail and the owner of Perpetual Treasuries had today filed the petition at Colombo High Court.
The suspects have named the head of the Financial Investigations Division of Criminal Investigations Department (CID),Attorney General as respondents of the petition.
Colombo Fort Magistrate has recently rejected the bail applications submitted by them.

Three Persons Were Injured Due To A Three Wheeler-Tipper Collision
Three persons including two females
were injured .one of them critically and hospitalized after the Three Wheeler they were travelling in colliding with a Tipper Truck at Atlis area on Norton -Bridge-Diyagala main road today (26).
The injured have been admitted to the Watawala District Hospital for treatment and a critically injured female (34 )was later transferred to the Nawalapitiya Base Hospital for further treatment.
The accident occurred when the Three Wheeler travelling Ginigathhena to Norton -Bridge area attempting to over take the Tipper truck.
Police have arrested the drivers of Three Wheeler and the Tipper truck over the incident.

A Heavy Traffic had been reported in
Awissawella-Dehiowita road this evening (26)due to a sudden fire erupted in a Private Company store in front of the Court complex in Awissawella area.
The fire was later doused by the fire brigade and the cause of the fire and damage done due to it not yet been revealed.

United National Party(UNP)MP and state minister Range Bandara has said today (26)that he is ready to bring a no confidence motion against Prime Minister Ranil Wikramasinghe to make a change in the United National Party Leadership .
A group of UNP Parliamentarians are willing to support the no confidence motion he said while addressing the media at Puttalam area.

A Person Was Shot And Killed In A Bus At Hambanthota
An unidentified Gunman had shot and killed a 30 year old suspect of a Murder Case while traveling in a Bus at Mirijjawila Junction in Hambanthota this noon(26).
The deceased who was a suspect of a murder case occurred in 2011 at Andupalana,Ranna area had on his way to home in Siyambalanduwa after appearing before the court case filed against him at Tangalle High Court.The wife of the deceased also their with him during the incident.
The gunman has fled away from the scene by a Mortar Car after the incident.

Colombo High Court Has Issued Summons Agian To President And Prtime Minister
Colombo High Court Judge Vikum Kaluarachchi has today(26) issued summons again to both the President
Maithripala Sirisena and Prime Minister Ranil Wikramsinghe to appear
before the Court on 24th of July this year to give an evidence of a court
case filed against the former General Secretary to the United National
Party(UNP) Tissa Attanayake .
The case was filed against the former UNP General Secretary Tissa Attanayake over publicizing a false document named as a secret agreement reached between President and Prime minister during the last Presidential Elections and attempting to make an impact to the election.
Court had earlier issued summons to the first and second witnesses of the case President and Prime Minister to appear before the Court today (26) .However both of them did not appear before the Court by citing their busy schedules and informed the situation to the court through their lawyers..
Due to this the High Court Judge again today issued summons to President and Prime Minister to appear before the court to give an evidence on 24th of July.
Some Sri Lankan Airlines Flights Have Been Cancelled Due To The Technical Defaults Of Some Planes
Sri Lankan Airlines had been cancelled two of it's flights scheduled for today(26) due to a
technical defaults experienced by some of the planes belonging to the
Airlines it has been reported.
Accordingly Sri Lanakan Airlines Flight schedule to fly to Karachchi,Pakistan at 1.20 p.m and a flight schedule to fly to Male in Maldives at 10.20 p/m today(26) have been cancelled.
Due to the technical defaults of some planes, some flights of Sri Lankan Airlines got delayed to get start since last Saturday(24). Due to this situation a large number of passengers due to fly in these flights have faced an enormous difficulties as a result of stranded in the Katunayake,Bandaranaike International Airport .
