Colombo Municipal Council Had Changed The Time Table Of Collecting Garbage And Cleaning The City

Colombo Municipal Council had  changed the time table of collecting garbage from houses /institutions and cleaning the city from today  (27) it has been announced .

Accordingly Municipal council will begin collecting garbage at 6.30 a.m daily instead of the  previous time  7.30 a.m  .

Cleaning of the city will begin at 5.30 a.m daily accordance to the instructions given by President gotabaya rajapakshe Municipal council had stated .

The Enviornment units attached to Police stations will be supervised these activities .

Six Persons Had Been Hospitalized Due To Motor Car -Three Wheeler Collision

 
 Five persons had been injured and one person in shock had been hospitalized due to a Motor Car -Three wherler collision at Galkulama Mountain area in Kottukachchiya ,Puttalam last evening (26).

The injured including the Three wheeler  driver ,Tbree females and a child travelling in the Three wheeler   had been admitted  to Puttalam Base Hospital for treatment and the Principal driven  the Motor car had been admitted to the hospital due to a shock of the incident .

The incident occurred when the three wheeler carrying five persons to anamaduwa from puttalam  had collided with the Motor car travelling to kottukachchiya from puttalam at galkulama mountain according to Puttalam police .

Both vehicles had heavily damaged due to the incident .

A Person Was Arrested Whilst Transporting 7.300 KG Of Kerala Cannabis

Buttala Police have arrested a 44 year
old person whilst transporting 7.300 Kilo Grammes of Kerala Cannabis in a lorry from Embilipitiya to Dambulla at Buttala in Wellawaya -Monaragala Main road this evening (26).

The suspect who is a resident of Embilipitiya new town  area had been arrested by the Traffic police officers attached to Buttala police during a vehicle inspection .

Suspect is due to be produced before the Monaragala Magistrate Court .

All Government Schools To Be Closed This Friday (29)At The End Of Third Term Without Distributing School Uniforms

All Government schools are  scheduled
to be closed down at  the end of third term on this Friday (29) until 02 nd of January next year  without distributing Free School Uniforms to the school children the Minister of Education and Sports of the current interim Government Dallas Alahapperuma has stated today (26).

Minister has stressed that the Ministry of Education should have taken the responsibility of failure to distribute  free School uniforms  to the Government school children in time before ending  of the third term of schools and  he will take the responsibility of distributing free school uniforms soon as schools started it"s first term in January .

Current interim government is in dilemma whether to distribute vouchers to purchase School uniform cloths to school children or to Distribute Cloths to stich  Uniforms it has been reported .

Previous good governance government had distributed Vounchers to School children so they can purchase suitable cloths for their School uniforms ,However some sections have opposed the move .

Current interim government is still considering whether to distribute school uniform vouchers or uniforms and the matter to be discussed during tomorrow's first cabinet meeting Education Minister has stated .

Meanwhile Ceylon Teachers Union has condemned the Education Ministry over not distributing School uniforms among school children in time .

New State And Deputy Ministers To Be Sworn In Tomorrow(27)

New State Ministers and Deputy
Ministers are scheduled to be sworn in before President Gotabaya Rajapakshe and Prime Minister Mahinda Rajapakshe at 9 a.m in Presidential Secretariet Colombo Fort the Presidential Media Unit has announced .
According to the sources around 15-20 State Ministers and similar number of Deputy Ministers are likely to be appointed to assist the 15 Cabinet Ministers of the interim Government .

After the swearing in ceremony of State and Deputy Ministers Appointment letters are scheduled to be handed  over to the new Ministry Secretaries .

Meanwhile first cabinet meeting of the new interim government is scheduled to be held tomorrow under the patronage of President and Prime Minister .
