Three males have been killed and a female was injured and hospitalized after the Motor Car they were traveling in colliding with a Train transporting Oil at a Railway crossing in Pattiyagoda,Veyangoda area this morning(20).
One person in the Motor Car was killed on the spot due to the incident and three critically injured persons including two males and a female were admitted to the Wathupitiwala Hospital where the two males had succumbed to their injuries .
Signal Ligts were on when the Motor Car attempting to cross the Railway crossing it has been revealed.

Prime Minister Arrived In Bond Commission To Give Evidence
Prime Minister Ranil Wikramasinghe had arrived in the special Presidential Commission Of Inquiry investigating on the Central Bank Bond Scam this morning(20) to give evidence regarding the Bond Scam.

Two Females Were Killed And four Injured Due To A Road Accident
Two females were killed and four others injured and
hospitalized after the Cab vehicle they were travelling in veering off the road and colliding with a wall in Hingalgoda area on Udugama-Thavalama road early this morning (19).
The six injured persons including the driver of the Cab and two females who were critically injured due to the accident had been admitted to the Karapitiya Teaching Hospital and the two females had succumbed to their injuries after admission to the Hospital.
All the injured persons are workers of a Tea factory in Hingalgoda and the accident had occurred after the driver of the Cab unable to control the vehicle it has been revealed.

Due to the rumours on Petrol Shortage a long queues had been seen in front of Oil filling stations in Colombo and the suburbs this evening.
According to the CPC the Corporation have enough stocks of petrol in stores and another Oil carrier carrying Petrol is due to arrive in Colombo during next two days,

The cause of the sudden fire erupted in the top of the
Meethotamulle Garbage dump few days ago has been proved as due to a rising levels of toxic Methane gas in the air around the dump according to the investigations carried out in this regard the Ministry Of Megapolis and Western Development has announced.
The Central Engineering Bureau is monitoring the Garbage Dump daily and levelling of the Dump due to begin within next month with the aid of World Bank the Ministry has stated.

regarding how to ac over the five COPE committee member Parliamentarians who were revealed as had telephone conversations with main suspect of the Central Bank bond scam Arjun Aloysius during the proceedings of Presidential Commission of Inquiry ,Investigating the Central Bank Bond Scam especially on whether those Telephone conversations should made public.
The Attorney General's Department has submitted a list of names to the Bond Commission including the names of Sports Minister Dayasiri Jayasekare,State Minister Sujeewa Senasinghe,Deputy Minister Ajith.P.Perera and MP's Harashana Rajakaruna and Hector Appuhamy as had telephone conversations with Arjun Aloysius .
However all five MP's have denied any wrong doing and complained that by checking private telephone calls of them Criminal Investigations Department (CID) had violated their privilages.

A Person Was Arrested With 5 Kilo Grammes Of Kerala Cannabis
Puttalam Police had arrested a 47 year old person whil transporting 5 Kilo Grammes of Kerala Cannabis by Sri Lanka Transport Board Bus traveling from Mulathivu to Kalpitiya near the Army Base in Puttalam last evening(18).
Police Officers who had arrested the suspect as per an information received ,believes he may have transported Kerala Cannabis by using Buses in previous occasions as well.
The suspect has been identified as a person lives in a Displaced Center in Puttalam and he is due to be produced before the Puttalam District Court.

Two Small Infants Were Killed Due To A Three Wheeler-Tipper Collision
Two small infants including a two year old baby boy and one year old baby girl were killed and five other injured and hospitalized due to a Three Wheeler they have been traveling in collided with a Tipper Truck last night(18) in Sapugaskande area on Kelaniya-Biyagama road.
The injured were admitted to the Colombo National Hospital for treatment according to the Police Media Spokesman's Office.Seven persons were traveling by the Three Wheeler at the time of the incident it has been revealed.

Several Catagories Of Government Health Professions To Launch A One Day Token Strike On Wednesday (22)
Government Health Professionals including Registered and Assistant Medical Officers , Government Nurses,Professions Supplementary To Medicine(PSM) and Para Medical Officers belonging to sixteen Health Trade Unions are due to launch an Island Wide one day token strike on this Wednesday (22) by opposing the decision taken by the Government to increase the salaries of Railway workers by underestimating their professions according to the Joint Confederation Of Health Professions.
More than 50,000 Health Professionals belonging to Government Health Professions will be participated this strike and the Professions in all Children's ,Maternity,Cancer and Mental Health Hospitals and Units will not participating the strike due to Humanitarian reasons according the joint convener of the Confederation Ajith.P Thilakaratne.
