A male resident in Kilai area at Jaffna District (In Northern Province)has been reported as died due to a landmine explosion occurred at a forest area where the demining process not yet concluded according to the Police.The deceased who had gone to the forest on last friday(12) to collect firewood has caught the landmine explosion the police have stated.
The body of the resident of Kilai area has been recovered through a police investigation launched following the complaint made by his family stating that he was missing since 12th of August.
