The first round of impeachment hearing against chief justice Dr Mrs.shirani bandaranaike was conducted by 11 member parliamentary select committee (PSC) yesterday (24) over alleged financial misconduct .the committee is scheduled to reconvene the hearing on 04th of December.Chief Justice Mrs.Bandaranaike was arrived the Parliamentary Complex yesterday for the hearing over 14 charges against her on financial and official misconduct.she was accompanied by her lawyers and given arousing welcome by a large group of lawyers gathered at supreme court complex in hulftsdorf before she departs for the hearing.
Earlier Mrs.Bandaranaike was asked to appear alone before the PSC hearing which she has denied and was accompanied by her lawyers for the hearing.
