President Mahinda Rajapaksha today appointed the Senior Deputy Inspector General Of Police(DDG) Mahinda Balasuriya as New Inspector General Of Police (IGP).New IGP was earlier attached to the Police Department as the Senior DIG Administrations.He succeds the former IGP Jayantha Wicktamaratna who retired from his Post on Saturday.
