Without A General Election No Need To Continue As Prime Minister -Former President Mahinda Rajapakshe

Former President Mahinda Rajapakshe
has told the United People's Freedom Alliance  (UPFA) MP's who had arrived in his official Residence at Wijerama Road in Colombo -07   he has resigned from premier post as has no intention to hold Prime Minister Post without a General Election .

Adressing the gathering after signing the letter of his resignation from.premier post, Former President Rajapakshe has stressed he has decided to resign from premiership post to pave the way for president to appoint a new Prime Minister at this stage .

The former President has signed the resignation letter amidst the chanting of pIrith by Bhikkus .

Meanwhile UPFA MP.Dinesh Gunawardana  has told the media after the event the opposition Leader post should have given to former President Rajapakshe

Two Persons Have Been Arrested With 1.11 Kilo Grammes Of Heroin

Bureau have yesterday (14)arrested two.persons of the ages 25 and 34 years old whilst transporting 1.11 Kilo Grammes of Heroin in a Three Wheeler at Pagoda area  ,Nugegoda .

The two suspects who are residents of Dehiwala area are due to be produced before Nugegoda Magistrate Court and obtain a detention order to question them further .

The estimated value of the haul of Heroin taken into custody in possession of the suspects is more than Rs.12 million it has been revealed.

old and a Wild Boar have died after getting trapped in  an Unauthorised power line fixed to catch Wild Boars , near a paddy field at Galapitagala area  in Uhana, Ampara last night (14).

The power line had fixed through the paddy field to catch Wild Boars to prevent them damage to the crops it has been revealed .

No one was arrested over the incident up to now. 

A 28 Year Old Guinea Bissau State National Has Been Arrested With A Haul Of Cocaine

to the Airport Customs have arrested a 28 year old citizen of State of Guinea Bissau in Africa this morning  (15)whilst attempting to smuggle 2.60 Kilo Grammes of Cocaine to the country at Katunayake ,Bandaranaike International Airport .

The suspect who had arrived in Katunayake Airport  from Nigeria through Doha,Qatar has hidden the haul of Cocaine inside of a fake bottom in his luggage it has been revealed.

The estimated value of the haul of Cocaine  taken in to custody in possession of the suspect is around Rs.30 million according to Customs. Airport Customs Officers are conducting further investigations over the incident.
