Graded Medical Officers Of National Hospital Halted Their Decsion Of Resigning From GMOA

The Graded Medical Officers attached to Colombo National Hospital who met this noon (12) to form a Separate Doctors Union by divide from Government Medical Officers Association (GMOA) had  halted their decision after few  representatives of GMOA who attended the meeting promised to abolish the service of minute which prepared in advantage of Specialists Doctors according to National Hospital Sources.

Around 400 to 500 Graded Medical Officers attached to National Hospital have attended the emergency meeting which was summoned to form a separate trade union from GMOA as a protest of underestimating the rights of graded medical officers and the service of minute prepared in favor of Specialists Doctors.

Meanwhile earlier in the day one of the senior officials of GMOA was assaulted by a fellow Executive Committee member of GMOA at National Hospital Doctors Quarters due to a heated argument erupted between them on to days Doctors Meeting.
