Police Have Arrested Five Treassure Hunters In Embilipitiya

Embilipitiya Police have arrested five treassure
hunters who were involved in excavation work in Labuhengoda ,Embilipitiya as per a tip off received by the Police.

Police have taken into custody a backo machine ,machines used for excavation work and religious goods from the site .

Embilipitiya Police are conducting an investigation on the incident.

Opposition Leader Sambandhan Has Informed The Chief Minister Of Northern Privincial Council Vigneshweren That Will Withdraw The No Confidence Motion Against Chief Minister

R.Sambandhan has informed the Chief Minister of Northern Provincial Council C.V Vigneshwaren that he will take steps to withdraw the  no confidence motion submitted by 21 Northern Provincial Councillors against the Chief Minister.

Opposition Leader Sambandhan has informed the Chief Minister of Northern Provincial Council that he will withdraw the no confidence motion through the Northern provincial councillors representing TNA .He made these remarks after the Chief Minister Vigneshwaren has told Sambandhan that he will cancel the order made to two provincial council ministers to take one month leave until the investigations on the charges leveled against them have completed.


Two Youths Were Kiled Due To A Motorcycle-Lorry Collision

Two youths were killed after the Motorcycle they were
riding colliding with a Lorry in Audangoda area on Dambulla-Habarana main road this evening (19).

The deceased have been identified as 20 and 22 year olds resided in Dambulle and Matale areas.

Before met with the accidents the two Motorcyclists have been warned over high speed by the Sigiriya police and a charge sheet was issued to them by Dambulle police over the same issue it has been reported.

Due To The Overcrowding Of Dengue Patients ,Jayawardenapura Teaching Hospital Had Suspended Admission Of Fever Patients

Due to the  overcrowding of Dengue and other fever
patients in  Sri Jayawardenapura Teaching Hospital , Kotte the Hospital authorities have temporarily suspended the admission of fever patients to the Hospital today (19).

Around 450 Dengue and other fever patients are receiving treatment in wards of Jayawardenapura Hospital at present and it meant beds have been 100% occupied by the fever patients according to the authorities.

Fever Hospital in IDH had earlier temporarily suspended the admission of Dengue and other fever patients to the Hospital due to the overcrowding of patients there.

Meanwhile the Epidemiologists have advised the public to seek medical treatment immediatley if someone have high fever lasted more than two days and symptoms such as headache,vomiting ,Body Pain and rashes appear in the skin as it might be Dengue .

Dengue Mosquito breeding places too should be destroyed and need to keep the  enviornment clean in order to prevent spreading of Dengue they have stated.

People are advised to use a mosquito nets instead of mosquito coils or sprays to protect against mosquito bites.

FBC And Antigen/Antibody Test Reports Of Dengue Patients Issued Within 30 Minutes From Today

Related imageAs all of the major hospitals in the Country are  over crowded with Dengue and other fever patients ,Government Hospital Laboratories have taken steps to issue Full Blood Count(FBC) and Dengue Antigen/Antibody test  reports of Dengue Patients within 30 minutes as per the instructions given by Health Ministry with effect from today(19).

The prices of Full Blood Count and Dengue Antigen/Antibody Tests performed in Private Hospitals and Laboratories too reduced with effect from today and accordingly Private Sector should charge Rs.250 for a Full Blood Count test and Rs.1000 for a Antigen/Antibody Test according to the Health Ministry.

Meanwhile Sri Lanka Society For Medical Laboratory Science  has informed the President Maithripala Sirisena that the Society will take action to issue reports of the above mentioned tests of Dengue Patients within 30 minutes  with effect from tomorrow(20).

Five ASP's Have Been Transferred With Immediatte Effect

Accordingly ASP M.A.A.S Jayathilake attached to the Colombo Crimes Division has been transferred to Tangalle Police Division,ASP A.R.P De Silva attached to the Tangalle Division has been transferred to the Colombo Crimes Division.ASP S.R.H Gamage attached to the Galle Division transferred to the Batticaloa division and ASP P.T Sisisra attached to the Batticaloa Division transferred to the Galle Division.ASP P.G.R.C.A Gamlath attached to the Polonnaruwa Division transferred to the Matara Division.

These transfers have been made as per the recommendation of the Inspector General Of Police approved  by  National Police Commission.

Navy Personal Have Taken Into Custody 182 Tins Containing Indian Tobacco Products Imported Illegally

The stock of 182 Tobacco Product tins contains Tobacco products weighing 50 grammes each and the stock is due to destroy soon the Navy have stated.
