There Might Be Power Cuts Tomorrow (07)- Electricity Board
Although there was no power cut today (06)the situation might have changed tomorrow (07) depending on the demand of electricity according to Ceylon Electricity Board .
There may be an island wide power cuts from tomorrow as the quantity of Diesel available at the Board to produce electricity is not sufficient and the water levels of the reservoirs in hydrocatchment areas are dropping continuously the Electricity Board has announced .
National power grid had lost 297 mega watts of power due to the closure of Kelanithissa Power plant aa a result of the fuel shortage from 02nd of February .
1331Corona Positives Reported Today(06)
A total of 1331 Corona Positives had been repprted in the country today (06) increasingthr total number of Corona positives reported so far in the country to 618,520 according to Epidemiology Unit .
At the moment 21,720 Corona Positives are being treated at Hospitals,Quarantine Centers and under home care system it has been reported .
23 Corona Deaths Had Been Reported Today (06)
Another 23 Corona deaths had been reported in the country today (06) increasing the total number of Corona deaths reported so far to 15,595 according to Director General Of Health Services (DGHS).
Accordingly 12 females and 11 males had died due to Corona infection the DGHS has stated .Out of the deceased 18 were over 60 years of age and 04 were belonged to 30-60 year age group it has been revealed.One of the deceased was under 30 years old .
Lanka Indian Oil Company Had Increased Fuel Prices
Lanka Indian Oil Company (LIOC) had increased the price of liter of Octane -92 petrol by Rs. 07 and a liter of Auto Disesel by Rs.3 with effect from midnight tonight (06) according to the Company .
Accordingly the Price of Octane -92 Petrol had been increased from Rs.177 to Rs.184 and the liter of Auto diesel had been increased from Rs.121 to Rs.124.
