The former supreme court judge Justice Sarath De Abrew who was released on bail over a charge of a sexual assault against his domestic aide has died this morning following an accident at his residence.The former supreme court judge had been detained over the assault against the domestic aide which occurred around 26th of June in 2015 and later released on bail on 07th of July 2015 by the Mount Lavinia Magistrate Court .
The Colombo High Court too granted bail to the deceased former supreme court judge over the charges on January this year.
