A Four Year Old Girl Was Hospitalized Due To An Assault Of Her Kindergrten Teacher
A four year old girl was injured and hospitalized due
to the assault of her Kindergrten teacher in a Kindergarten at Padukke area on last friday (16).
The injured girl was admitted to the Padukke Hospital for treatment with injuries to her ear and a leg it has been revealed.
The little girl's parents had complaint on the incident to the Hanwella Police and according to the complaint the teacher had assaulted the small girl over not consuming the meals during the interval,
to the assault of her Kindergrten teacher in a Kindergarten at Padukke area on last friday (16).

Hearing Of A Case Against Former Litro Gas Chairman Had Postponed Unt
The hearing of the court case filed against former
chairman of the Litro Gas Company Shaleela Munasinghe over receiving electricity to his house in rJagiroya illegally by changing the light meter has been postponed until 25th of June today (19) by the Colombo,Chief Magistrate court.
The illegal act of changing the light meter had recovered through a Joint raid conducted by the Welikada Police and Elctricity Board..
The court Case was heard today before the Colombo Chief Magistrate .

evening (19)during the debate held over the current political crisis in the country after the Health Minister Dr.Rajitha Senaratne had accused Joint opposition MP Wimal Weerawanshe on his involvement in stealing state resources during previous regime.
MP Weerawansha in reply accused Dr.Senaratna too on similar charges and Health Minister has stated that MP Weerawanshe did not even pass his G.C.E O/Level examination.
Starting the Debate Joint Opposition MP Dinesh Gunawardane has stated that the country is in turmoit at present due to the peoples verdict given against the government at the recently concluded local government election.

As the United Peoples Freedom Alliance (UPFA) and
it's allied party Sri Lanka Freedom Party failed to show Parliamentary Majority to form a new government ,Both Prime Minister Ranil Wikramasinghe and President Maithripala Sirisena have decided to form A United National Party led government it has been reported today (19).
A section of the UPFA will join the new UNP led government and the rest will be seated in opposition according to reports.

Brazilian National Who Swallowed Cocaine Contained Condoms Was Remanded
Brazilian national who arrived in Sri Lanka after
swallowing condoms containing Cocaine was remanded until 16th of March by the Minuwangoda Magistrate today (19)after been produced before the court.
All the narcotic contain condoms swallowed by the suspect numbering 70 were removed from his stomach by the doctors of Negambo Base Hospital today (19).
Around 690 grammes of Cocaine contaning in removed condoms it has been revealed.The Brazilian national was arrested upon his arrival at Katunayake Airport by the airport customs officers.

A Sudden Fire Was Erupted in A House In Hatton Due To The Hot Weather
A sudden fire was erupted in a house at Circular Road,Hatton this noon(19) due to the hot dry weather prevailing in Central Hill areas these days.

Rs.75 Million Illegal Assets Case Filed Against Joint Opposition MP Wimal Weerawansha Was Postponed
The case filed against Joint Opposition MP and leader of the National Freedom Front Wimal Weerawansha over earning Rs.75 million worth assets and money illegally during the previous regime, was today postponed until 16th of May by the Colombo High Court.
The case was postponed after it haired before the Colombo High Court today(19).MP Weerawansha had also received indictments over the case.

A Female Was Killed And 10 Others Were Injured Due To A Road Accident
A female was killed and 10 others injured ,06 of them critically after the Van they were
traveling in colliding with a Lamp Post near the Buddangala Collage in
Padaviya-Anuradhapura this morning(19).

A Special Parliamentary Debate Begun At Parliament Over The Current Political Situation
A Special Parliamentary Debate on the current uncertain Political Situation of the country is scheduled to be held from 4 p.m to 7 p.m this evening(19).
The Party Leaders have decided to hold this debate following the request made by the Joint Opposition MP Dinesh Gunawardane.The Parliament which convened for the first time after the recently concluded Local Government Elections had adjourned for 15 minutes to hold the Party Leaders meeting to decide on the debate after request was made.
Meanwhile it has been reported that a petition signed by 20 Joint Opposition MP's was also handed over to the Speaker Karu Jayasuriya requesting a debate over the Political crisis.

A Person Was Arrested With 16,000 Illegal Cigarette Sticks In Possession At The Airport
Airport Customs Officers had arrested a 42 year old person who had illegally brought around 16,000 foreign made Illegal Cigarette sticks to the country from Singapore yesterday (18) at the Katunayake ,Bandaranaike International Airport.
The illegally brought Cigarette Sticks were concealed inside the luggage of the suspect and the stock is worth around Rs.800,000 according to the customs.
The Customs had confiscated the stock of illegal Cigarette sticks and released the suspect who is a resident of Grandpass area on Rs.50,000 bail it has been reported.

A Youth Was Killed And Another Critically Injured Due To A Road Accident
A Youth was killed and a Three Wheeler Driver was critically
injured and hospitalized after the Three Wheeler they were traveling in
falling down in to a 150 foot deep precipice at Ruwanpura in
Nawalapitiya area.
The critically injured Three Wheeler driver was admitted to the Nawalapitiya Base Hospital for treatment.
