Tusker Muthu Raja Flown Back To Thailand After Fallen Sick Due To Ill Treatment Of His Mahout
The tusker "Muthu Raja "who is in the line of Tuskers eligible to carrying the sacred tooth relics of Lord Buddha at Dalada Maligawa and fallen sick due the ill treatment received from his mahout at Kande Viharaya in Aluthgama (Western Province) ,had flown back to Thailand for medical treatment on his,wounds from Katunayake International Airport last morning(02).
The tusker weighing 4000 KG was gifted to former President Chandrika Bandaranaike Kumaratunge by the Royal family in Thailand in 2001 and later he was handed over to the Kande Viharaya by the government .
Muthuraja who had flown back to his native country Thailand was sent to A 30 day quarantine upon his arrival it has been reported.He was flown back to Thailand by a Russian cargo plane sent by the Thai authorities.
Prices of Litro Gas To Be Reduced Tomorrow
The Prices of Litro Gas are scheduled to be reduced by Few hundred rupees with effect from midnight tomorrow(04) Under the Monthly price revision the Litro Gas Company has announced.
The Amount that going to be reduced is scheduled to be announced by tomorrow morning (04) the Company has stated.
Accordingly the Prices of 12.5 KG,5 KG and 2.5 KG Litro Gas Cylinders will be reduced from midnight tomorrow .
