LIOC Has Increased Ocrane -92 Petrol Price And Reduced Diesel.Liter Price

Lanka Indian Oil Company  (LIOC) has reduced the price of a Diesel.Liter by Rs.9 and increased the price of a Liter of  Octane -92 Petrol by Rs.5 with effective from midnight tonight (13).

Accordingly the new Price of a LIOC Diesel. Liter will be Rs.104 and  a Liter of LIOC Octane -92 Petrol will be Rs.140 it has been announced.

The price of Diesel liter has been reduced accordance to requests made by consumers and the Petrol  liter has been increased due to the rising prices of Petrol in world market according to LIOC.



Police Recovered A Stock Of FIrearms And Cartridges Buried in Wellawaya-Two Persons Arrested

Police have arrested two persons along

with a stock of fIrearms and cartridges  buried in a land near the road where Wellawaya -Uva Kuda oya commando training center located in during a search operation carried out yesterday  (12).

Among the firearms and cartridges recovered were two rifles ,Two pistols 75 M-6 cartridges and 342 T-56 firearm cartridges it has been revealed.

The search operation has Been carried out accordance to an information received by the police .

Textile Shop Owner Hasmar Hameed Who Created A Tense Situation In Chilaw Through A FB Post Had Been Remanded

The Textile shop owner Hasmar
Hameed Who Caused the tense situation in Chilaw through a facebook   post had been remanded until 24 th of May by the Chilaw Magistrate and District Judge today (13).

The suspect who had been arrested by Chilaw Police last evening after a group of persons attacking him and his shop over the Facebook post ,has been produced before Chilaw Magistrate Court today .

Chilaw Police OIC Wasantha Herath has filed  indictments against the suspect and no lawyer had appeared behalf of him it has been reported .

Gampaha Police Division this evening  (13) and Curfew is due to be imposed  Island Wide from 9 p.m tonight until 4  a.m tomorrow morning (14) according to Police Media spokesman's office .

Police curfew has been imposed in Gampaha Police division due to few incidents reported from there and Island Wide curfew will be implemented to prevent spreading these incidents further  it has been revealed .

The curfew Imposed in North Western Province will continues until further notice it has been announced .

Curfew Extended To Entire North Western Province Until Further Notice

Police curfew Imposed in six areas of the North Western Province this noon has been extended to entire Province until further notice due to a tense situation occurred Police Media Spokesman SP Ruwan Gunasekare has announced. 

Earlier Police curfew has been imposed in Kuliyapitiya, Bingiriya And Dummalasuriya Areas last night until 4 a.a.m this morning (13)due to a stones hurled at three shops by a group at Hettipola road ,Kuliyapitiya yesterday.

However as some more shops had been attacked today Police have decided to extend the Police curfew to entire Province until the situation  returns to normal  he has stressed.

areas of North Western Province including Kuliyapitiya, Bingiriya ,Dummalasuriya,Hettipola ,Rasanayakapura and Kobeigane Police Divisions from 2.p.m. this evening until 4 a.m tomorrow (14)according to Police Media Spokesman SP Ruwan Gunasekare .

The curfew has been imposed in these areas due to a tense situation occurred it has been revealed.

Stern Action Will be taken against those involved in illegal activities during curfew period Police Media Spokesman warned .
