Younger Sister Of Chief Easter Sunday Attacks Suspect Mohommad Zahran Has Been Arrested By Police

Madania the younger sister of the Chief suspect of Easter Sunday bombings Mohommad Zahran Hashim has been arrested by  the Batticaloa Police this evening (01) at Kaththankudy area with Rs.2 million in possession .

The money she has possessed with   given to her by the Zahran few days prior to the Easter Sunday bombings Madaniya has told the police during questioning.

Soon after the bombings Madaniya has heavily criticised her brother Zahran over his ideology and  the bombings during a conversations with media personal and once told she wish if he (Zahran)got killed during the attack.

Cloths similar to robes wear by

 Buddhist Clergy and Army Uniforms had been recovered from an unauthorised Islam Prayer center and nearby house at yayawatte in Kuliyapitiya during a search operation carried out by the forces today(01).

Kuliyapitiya Police along with the Army personal in Boyagane Camp have arrested few persons in the prayer center along  with CD's containing extremist wahab preaches .

A name plate written in Arabic language had been removed from the center before forces arriving there it has been revealed.

A Group Of 52 Russian Tourists Arrived In Sri Lanka Amidst Travel Restrictions Imposed By Some Countries

In an Enviornment where  Some
countries  have advised their citizens to restrict travelling Sri Lanka due to the recent Easter Bomb attacks,A group of 52 Russian tourists have arrived  today (01)at the Katunayake International Airport for a holiday it has been reported.

The group of Russian Tourists had  arrived for A 12 day period and they have revealed that they were aware of the recent bomb attacks and the security situation here.

Cabinet Approves A Proposal To Increase The Minimum Private Sector Employee Salary

Cabinet has approved a proposal to
increase the minimum Salary of a Private sector employee  by Rs.2500 from Rs.10,000 to Rs .12.500 by considering the rising cost of living.

The Rs.400 minimum daily wage of a Private sector too has been also increased to Rs.500 Cabinet has announced.

A Stock Of Explosives Recovered In Samanthurai

Another stock of explosives including
200 Deternators had been recovered  in Samanthrai,Ampara during the search operation carried out jointly by Sri Lanka Army and Police today(01).

Among the Explosives  that had been recovered in Samanthurai area were 200 Deternators,200 Jelignite Sticks ,171cartridges and 02 pistols  according to sources.

Meanwhile the Police curfew which lifted this morning(01) in Samanthurai,Kalmunai and Chawalakade areas has been re imposed at 9 p.m  and due to be lifted at 5 a.m tomorrow (02)morning.

CID TO Seize ALL Assets Belonging To EASTER SUNDAY BOMBERS And Their Terrorist Organization

Criminal Investigations Department
(CID)has launched an investigation to seize all assets belonging to the Terrorist Group representing 09 suicide bombers who had carried out bomb attacks in 08 places on Easter Sunday according to Police Media Spokesman Superintendent Of Police(SP) Ruwan Gunasekare .

CID has identified whereabouts of all  09 suicide bombers including 08 males and 01 female includes their identity ,places they have lived and their relatives SP Gunasekare has stressed.

The assets belonging to the Terrorist Organization which carried out easter sunday bombings including Bank accounts ,factories ,lands,houses etc.will be seized soon he has told the media .
