The Telecommunication Regulatory Commission In Sri Lanka had decided to increase the tarriffs imposed on all Mobiles ,Fixed phones ,Broadband services (Pre paid and post paid) and paid TV services with effect from next Monday (05).following the VAT (Value added tax) increase announced by the government .
Accordingly the tarrifs imposed on Mobiles ,Fixed,Broadband services will be increased by 20 percent and paid TV services by 25 percent .
As the purchasing of Eggs had been reduced significantly in the country due to the high prices .All ceylon Poultry farmers Association had decided to sell an egg for Rs.46 for the Wholesale Dealers who are coming to the poultry farms to purchase eggs.
The consumption of eggs is being dropped rapidly after the increasing of egg price to Rs.60 recently it has been reported.Poultry farmers are being urged the givernment to give a concession for them untill making amendments for the gazette issued to control the price of Eggs .
All Ceylon Bakery Owners Association had advised all Bakery owners in the country to increase the price of a loaf of 450 gramme Bread to Rs.300 it has been reported .
The decision to increase the price of Bread to Rs.300 from Rs.190 had been taken due to the rising prices of Wheat flour in the local market
The Former Sri Lankan President Gotabhaya Rajapakshe who had fled away from the country as a result of the popular public uprising on 09th of July Had returned to the country last night (02) according to the Katunayake Bandaranaike International Airport authorities .
Former President Rajapaskhe had arrived in Sri Lanka in a Singapore Airlines flight from Thailand where he had stayed around two weeks .He had fled away from the country to Maldives in mid July and after staying there for a few weeks he had flown to Singapore and thereafter to Thailand .

welcome the former president and heavy security had been deployed in and
around the Katunayake Airport since yesterday it has been reported .He
is expected to reside in a state bungalow at Nugegoda in Colombo
district until the approval of his Green card in USA authorities have
revealed .Although the former President had resigned from President's
post before serving his full term he will be given all the privileges
