A Person Was Arrested With 40 Grammes Of Heroin In His Possession

 Grandpass Police had arrested a person with 40 Grammes and 737 Mili Grammes of Heroin In their possession at Weragodalla area in Sedawatte ,Colombo yesterday (27).

The person who is a resident of Sirimuthiuyana housing scheme and involved in supplying employees to a Tea leaves assembling factory at Weragodalla area has been involved in selling Heroin since some time it has been revealed.

748 Corona Positives Recovered And Discharged Today (27)

 Another 748 Corona Positives had been discharged from Government hospitals and treatment Centers today (27)after full recovery according to National Covid -19 Prevention Center .

Accordingly the total number of Corona Positives discharged from.Hospitals and Treatment centers after full recovery had risen to 78,373 .the Center had stated. 

Another 425 Corona Positives Had Been Reported Today (26)

A total 425 Corona Positives had been reported today (27)and 487 positives had been reported yesterday (26)amidst lower number of 'PCR " tests performed Daily these days according to National Covid 19 Prevention Center .

Accordingly the total.number of Corona positives reported so far in the country had risen to 82,890 The center has stated .

At the moment 4053 Corona Positives Are Being treated at Hospitals and Treatment centers .

Another 05 Corona Deaths Reported Yesterday (27)-Today's Dear

 Another 05 Corona deaths had been reported yesterday (26) and still today's (27) Corona death. Report is not yet been issued according to Health Ministry sources .

Accordingly with the 05 Corona deaths reported yesterday the total number of Corona deaths reported so far had risen to 464 the sources have added .

These Corona deaths had been reported from nawadagala ,Narahenpita ,Kandy ,Colombo -09 and weyangoda areas and the deceased were of the ages 69 ,72,70,71 and 71yrars old it has been revealed .There were four males and a female among those who died yesterday.  due to Complications of non communicable diseases they have suffered from as a result of Corona infection .

Ministry Of Health Again Requested To o Vaccinate Over 30 Age Group

 Ministry Of Health again taken a decision under political influence to vaccinate all above 30 age group lives in high risk areas at Western province   Instead of prioritizing 60 plus age group who are at high  risk of  infecting with  Corona virus according to sources.  

Although the power to take such decisions is vested with National Advisory Board of Infectious diseases attached to the Health ministry ,Ministry official had taken a decision which is not even considered by other countries as those countries are mainly focused on Vaccinating higher risk groups by proritising them.

Public Health Inspectors attached to Fpaha District had withdrawn from Corona Vaccination programme protesting against temporary decisions made by Ministry officials this morning .

However they have returned to work after health officials had promised them to solve these issues as soon as possible .

Health Ministry To Delay Implementing Burial Of Corona Bodies For Another Week

 Although Health Minister had issued a Gazette Notification allowing burial of Corona infected. Bodies in Sri Lanka it will take another week to implement The Gazette according to the Health Ministry Sources .

The conditions and regulations regarding the implementation of Burial for Corona infected Bodies are still under preparation the sources have added .

Health Minister Pavithra Wanniarachchi had issued the gazette notification allowing burial of Corona bodies last Thursday(25) night .

A Female Had Been Arrested With A Haul Of Heroin

 Special Police Task Force Personal attached to Gonahena Camp had arrested a female resided near Kalubowila Teaching Hospital at  Kohuwala (Colombo ) with 1.130 Kilo Grammes of Heroin in her possession .

The haul  of Heroin taken into custody in possession of the suspected female worth over Rs.10 million it has been revealed .

The suspect had been handed over to Police Anti Narcotic Bureau for further investigations .
